Is there any chance that Rayscaper is going to work with Lindale so that it is one of the render applications available in the Skatter plugin?

@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rick, I appreciate this. Are things like this included anywhere in the documentation?
Sorry about the typo Rich. I tried to edit it but could not do that after I had submitted it. I thought there was a way to do that. -

Rayscaper Learning-Practice
I am in the process of learning how to use Rayscaper and have run into a question that I would like some feedback about. As you look at the image below, you will see that I have highlighted the Metalic IOR setting. There are 3 settings for this category and I have not quite figured out what the 3 settings are. Hope someone can explain them to me.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
OK still a little more progress.
Noticed a problem in the model so fixed it and re-rendered.
Then I played with another setting and like this one a little more.
I am going to start another thread about Rayscaper Learning-Practice as I continue to learn how to render with Rayscaper and also a place to ask questions.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
@pixelcruncher OK, I just did some more "playing around" and here is the result.
Final result:
And here are the settings I used to get here:
Still a long way to go to get comfortable with Rayscaper but progress is one step at a time.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
Well, progress, I think. But still a LOT to learn about how to use the tool.
Oh No, the background in the render is not what I was seeing during the render.
BTW: Here is the settings I used for the frame which is still not exactly as shinny as I was wanting.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
@pixelcruncher Thank you sir. I will give these a try.
This is all part of the learning process.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
@ntxdave OK, now I have a silly question. Is there a way to save the settings I used in the above render?
-
RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
@pixelcruncher Well, after playing around and trying a lot of settings, here is my first render. The metal frame is not quite as shinny as I would like it but, again, this is my first render. Also, the background is darker that I would like.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich. This file worked MUCH better. It is not exactly like the one in the in the video but it is close enough that I can now get the hang of things.
I will now have to try some stuff with one of my own models.
I appreciate your feedback/support so I can begin to try Rayscaper and hopefully start moving forward.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
I was using the file from the tutorial and just clicked on the RayScaper icon and that is what showed up. I thought this was a file you created. I thought I did exactly what was shown in the tutorial. To me, this isnot solved.

RE: Rayscaper Sample Model Download
@pixelcruncher I am having a problem trying to get started. Here is what I am seeing when I click on the Rayscaper icon in SU 2024.
According to the video, I thought I was using the correct file. I am using RziO_rs_shader_ball-scenev2020What is going on/am I doing wrong?

RE: Rayscaper New Releases
@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich. That is what I thought but some place I thought I thought their product or web site said something about 2020.
Right now I have thr trial version but it is about to expire. I need to go try something again because u thought I saw an error but I will have to evaluate that.

RE: Rayscaper New Releases
If I purchase RayScaper will I be able to install and use it with both 2024 and 2020? I also have a new laptop. Will I be able to install it on both of my laptops?

Sketchucation Tools on SU 2020
Will the latest version of SketchUcation Tools work on SU 2020? I finally got SU 2020 working on my new laptop and now need to the my extensions working. If I install SketchUcation Tools I would then be able to use the Bundles to install my extensions on the new machine.
So, again, what version of SktechUcation Tools do I need to install with SU 2020?

RE: Move Plugins to new computer
@Rich-O-Brien Yes I had done that before but for some reason it did not work. It now worked so I think all is OK.
Thanks for the support.

RE: Move Plugins to new computer
@Rich-O-Brien Thanks Rich
I tried to install the bundle and see a long list of extensions but none of them are installed. What should I be doing to install the extensions?
-
RE: Move Plugins to new computer
@ntxdave In the process.
Is there a way to change the name of a bundle?

What is the best way to move my plugins and their licenses to a new computer?
Best is to install the extensions fresh from their sources. Install the Sketchucation ExtensionStore first and use it to install your bundle of extensions from Sketchucation.
Thanks @Dave R, I am having problems getting SU setup on my new laptop but I will give your reply when I get things set up.
