      @tuna1957 said in I’ve Been β€œBoxed”:

@ntxdave Dave, Box posted a link in his last post. Smash and it’ll get you there.

I did look at his link (I do not have Facebook) and I really did not find what I was looking for in the other link. However, I went to the Sketchup Tutorials and looked at one of the links there and finally found what I was looking for. Now I am trying to learn some things again. I really appreciate the help I am getting.

Although I used SketchUp for several years, I have been away for several months and am having to learn some things all over again. I guess that is what happens as we age (I have to look back to see 80). πŸ˜€

I do not have Facebook so I need to find your gif's so I can start learning again. I am feeling really stupid.

OK, thanks again for the reply. I will have to go back and try to figure some things out. Might take multiple videos though. 😁

Can someone give me a reference to Box’s gif on how to do stuff like this?

Just curious, what tools/plugins (if any) did you use to draw this?

I was thinking about trying this myself. I was thinking about putting the image as a background and then drawing on top of it.

I went to the Mido site and the product sure looks interesting. However I saw that they are discontinuing support. I also could not see anything about the cost of the software.

Can you share any information about it?

Where do you come up with midels like this?

Do you create them from scratch or is there some place where they are available.

How do you create the backgrounds like this (I.e. a snowy background)?

    • RE: Dexter

@Gus-R I appreciate the response. Obviously I go not have the experience and background to do this on my own. I would need to find plans I could use pr find things in the 3D warehouse I could use.

@Gus-R Where/how do you come up with models like this?

I have been away for a while (concentrating on some other problems) and would like to get back into things. I do not have the knowledge (nor the skills) to generate models like that (in particular the house). All of my recent replies have been done on my iPad and I would like to get back to modeling on my laptop.

Much prefer the latest without the foreground trees. Yummy renders all of them
I agree except for the reflection of the auto on the last one. Since the driveway appears to be dry, not sure what is causing the reflection.

But as @Rich-O-Brien said, the brick and roof texture is ver nice and removing the foreground trees is much better IMO.
