How its made is a Canadian TV show where they go to factories, and explain the manufacturing process for different everyday objects. I guess they are doing a different style episode by showing how blood and skin are made...

zim, you've got to elaborate a little more, not everyone knows what you're talking aboot (haha Canadian plug)

It also airs in USA, too!

    • RE: Happy Birthday J1mmy, Jun 14, 2007

      Thanks so much everyone!
An interesting story happened in the afternoon on my birthday. My son Remy 7 he is of the age where he likes to skimboard. Skimming is where you have a composit thin board the waves wash up on the sand and you run and drop the board in front of you then jump on and ride the at first thin film of water to the next in comming wave.

Well, we were on the beach at Censored to protect your privacy 6:00 PM and a small grop of people come to the shore area one man was carrying a blue case. So when he opened the case out comes.............THE STANLEY CUP! WOW! So I sprint to my car and grab my camera. When I retun Rob Niedermier is doing a photo shoot with Sportsillustrated. Yes I got a photojust Rob THE CUP & I.

I know that their are many Canadian hockey fans amoungst us. Have no doubt that I will post the photo VERY soon I think I am going to use it as my avatar.

Yes I am getting older. Thats fine by me I have every intention of hanging on to my youth forever.

      THanks again

    • RE: Answering susan

      Hi all together

I'm just back from a misty morning trip. The rising sun beamed through holes in the cloudy sky on the fresh snow of last night. Together with your very kindly postings it's good starting a day like this. Indeed, now I feel very welcomed and happy among you again.

Maybe it's a pitty or maybe it's pure luck but you will never see a lot of postings from me. My words are just too limited and often not precise enough. E.g. I used "redundance" but didn't mean "repetiveness". I intend all things disturbing to easily find and catch the main information.

And why isn't possible to change the default eye aching serifed forum font in the browsers preference panel as I can do it with all other websites?

And why does the site not accept my login as permanent even when I check the relevant field and have no special barrier installed against cookies. That's why I usually roam the forum as guest and Ontarians, Orogoners and other NewWorlders will seldom check my early morning presence during their last night surf.

Well, it tooks me nearly an hour to type this and for today I've still some other work on my todo list. Maybe I'll even searchfor a picture suited as avatar.

    • RE: It won't be long.

As far as Google's reluctance to talk about what they're up to, they seem to have a flat policy not to talk about that stuff. I believe they're being cautious--perhaps overly so--about repeating some of Microsoft's mistakes. You may recall that in the early days of Windows, Microsoft used to regularly issue press announcements about their great plans for the OS, along with estimated roll-out dates. When their plans slipped and they delayed software releases for months or even years, they took quite a huge amount of flack for it. I believe that's when the term "vaporware" entered the lexicon.

Microsoft's image never quite recovered from those days, and that was part of where they got their terrible reputation and low esteem among the public at large. I think Google's theory is that if they don't make promises, they can't break them.

In any event, the suspense is nearly at an end.

    • RE: How did you get started in your profession?

Growing up in Southern Ca in the heart of the velcro valley I always wanted to be sponsored as a professional surfer. I would kill myself for photos so I could amass a little book to show that I will "pull in" Well 2 things 1 I do not have the god given talent needed & 2 at 6'5" I am not the ideal build. But I knew that I had to be in their circles Qwiksilver was in its infancy as were basically all the burgening manufacturers. All right in my back yard. So I found myself as a lacky in the warehouse filling orders and when the trade shows came I was eventually put in charge of their exibit the set up the design etc... That led to me opening up a exibit company STREETLEVEL. It was great as a young single guy it was seasonal work and the season revolved around surfing. So I would work the months prior and then have the months after to go and surf great spots. Hawaii every November, Austrailia, Fiji, Bali, All of latin America From Equador to Northern Baja and every country in between, El Salvador, Nicaraugua, Costa Rica, Panama, All of Mexico, up to Canada, Virgin Islands, Spain, Portugal, France, Morocco, For like 6 to 8 weeks at a shot It was a dream. My work consisted of designing modular displays that can be very elaborate and costly units of VERY high quality.

Then came the family the business grew from the ASR surf market to all the cool guy shows SIA, MAGIC, POWERSPORTS. SO I was traveling for work like... 15 weeks a year. GREAT when you are young and single on the prowel but unfair to a growing family. So I put that aside and focused my shop to custom cabinetry. Took a big hit $$$ wise so I without any expierience stumbled upon a high end, high profile custom residence as a general contractor. At the time I was unlicenced. But I went for it to this day I do not know how I got through it. Only that I told everyone on the job "Please when you talk to me treat me like I am a 8 year old "show me what you know" That job led to the next and so on... I treat my work as art I keep a working schedule and DEADLINES just like in the tradeshow world can NEVER be missed.
