Layout: Love it or Loathe it?
Hi Skupusers,
I will be presenting at the 3D Basecamp UK at RIBA on the 9th of September 2015 - the last slot of the day (some coffee will be consumed).
My presentation is about using both Sketchup & Layout in pitch & presentation context.
Some reaction - brief, monosyllabic, or gastronomic about this posts would be interesting to help shape my final words. LMK if you are happy to have attributations.
Me, I love em all......

RE: Any info about new version?
Hmm - layout seems to hang a fair bit - lags & thinks about things - after this update: model isn't huge, so will persevere and see how the worklflow goes.

RE: I need to render a Skp stadium model.
With Lumion and large files just break them down and import as separate .skp models. I did this for a gas platform and a processing plant in situ, with LPG tanker and pipes for days - gives you a quicker work flow as well when elements need updating/changing. Good luck. I am currently designing for UEFA events - most probably same pitch (so to speak).

RE: SketchUp 2014
Having reinstalled skp 14 & I have managed to get one plugin running in path / folder as shown. Will leave rest until later - Lumion changes call !!
Hope this helps.

Any timers / timesheets which record sketchup activity time?
My work flow means that I can be jumping between models/projects and can 'lose' track of time that models really take.
To bill and to estimate projects well in the future I would love to be able to have SKP stop/start a clock for me on each file - be it Layout or Sketchup - that I am working on.
Any ideas or clever Ruby people?

RE: LightUp v3.0 launched
Excellent update - as ever, cannot keep my brain up with the advances, but I am able to turn round renders with this software at high speed and high quality in work with low deadline thresholds. Thanks Adam.
