I may be wrong but this poster comes across as someone who wants to acquire items to sell.
Colour me cynical if you like but it comes across that way.

I have to agree, some folk have great results but frankly it is a whole 'nuther story and tbh, not one I want a part in and the loss of skill leading to another lost skillset is quite unsettling. I suppose that is the definition of progress. As long as we do not evolve into cabbage patch folk from the outer limits. Shades of this? https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0244290/
The only way you can 'get it' is to make it yourself. A good tool for learning.
Agreed, getting this far this fast as a one man band, part time. Wow.
Being in beta still, imperfection is a given but the ride is still good and hoping I am contributing sufficiently.

I can confirm that with the models I had issues with in Sketchup V2024, crash occurs when minimising Rayscaper. After that last build they ceased when closing Rayscaper. In Sketchup 2026, No crash on minimising or closing Rayscaper no matter which model is in use. Other apps also function better, faster, cleanup for example would freeze. NOT in Sketchup V2026.
A lot of the issues I have with V2024 have been cured by moving to V2026, lots of random crashes and bugsplats.
Even the cleanup tool is better behaved.
@Dave-R
The reason I called it a render is because, it is that good tbh. Reminds a lot of Hellnbaks (Steve) works. In particular, a wood framed Velocipede (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Velocipede) which I still remember as being bloody brilliant.
Another reminder of just what Sketchup can do in the hands of talented people.
It's a cracking piece and render.

True. If it was a stool it probably would have three legs. But it isn't a stool. It's a small side table.
Unless its a barstool? Then you can turn it over when the pub is busy and 4 can sit on it.
Only in the "Commons" bar. I think they have enough though.
Sorry, confirm that the crash still happens.
I am getting a crash when minimising or closing Rayscaper latest version.
Also this. Setpoint error, graphic did not save. The crash of Sketchup is repeatable.
A condition on sale from google to trimble was a couple (Five?) years maintaining Sketchup with a free version. V17 was the last.
Going back to motors again, this is the latest Kitbash from older components/models.
Essentially a clay render for fit.

Last free version of Sketchup is V17.
Just one other thought for today, I take it these renders are used to suggest schemes for potential users of a refurbishment or building company. In this case the clientelle will want to choose materials etc so how deep do these options run with your system?
Saying to a customer that "It will look like this but different, seems like a retrograde step. Just a thought.
Horses for course etc, agreed. Thought for the day, can ai be used as an educational tool to TEACH rendering? Assess the product folk are getting and SUGGEST method of improvement. Manual renders, like DSLR, have options up the yazoo and even making CAD/Sketchup models can confront the novice with lots of confusing palettes which can be visually disturbing. Perhaps ai can be a real tool for change and ALLOW the user to be more creative while retaining independence?
