Try searching this forum as well as YouTube for tutorials on modeling cars. It's not quite the same but some of the same concepts apply. Good luck.

One can never have enough NICELY DONE sketchy styles. These are great.

Here's an attempt. I started with a geodesic sphere from the warehouse. I don't have time to go through the steps, but I remade it with components. The model is attached if you want to explore the parts. It's not perfect and might not even be accurate, but it was a fun experiment. Hope it helps.

pbacot: I have used that method before. It's fine for simple objects, but gets more difficult for geometry that is more complex or curved in 2 directions. I'm just hoping to find a way that doesn't require as many steps. Just getting lazy in my old age.

I haven't worked with solids much until lately. This will be extremely useful in fixing some of my my poor modeling until I get used used to modeling with "solids" in mind from the start.
