    • RE: Plugin Gradientator V1.21 on Mac

      @TIG

      So yeah, like I said, I had already read the posts about changing the "magical phrase". Problem is, no one explained how to find the plugins folder on a Mac (in the Library, but not following the pathways described at all). I ended up finding it, and changed the code with "TextEdit", saved the change, and reopened SKP again, but this is what I get, a one colour flat "gradient" (when I chose 3 colours - and before anyone asks, I had pressed "ok" to get the green colour, I only reselected the same colours agains because when you click "ok" the gradientator boxe dissapears):

      If anyone nows what's going on, I would greatly appreciate to know and how to fixe this.

      Many thanks !

    • Plugin Gradientator V1.21 on Mac

      Re: [Plugin] Gradientator v1.21

      I have read all the tricks and followed the tutorial to try and fixe the problem when trying to install the plugin (gradientator), in Sketchup Pro 2023, but I'm working on a Mac, and so all the pathways described do not work in my environment.

      Can anybody tell me precisely how on Mac I can "recode" the famous "@" in that one line of code ? I've searched online to teach myself how to change the code of a plugin on a Mac and can't find anything useful. I'm not a computer Wiz, so I'm looking for something simple if possible.

      Thank you so much ! 😊

    • Sky rendering in Sketchup with Twilight Render HELP !

      Hi,

      I'm new here so I don't even know if I'm posting in the right place, I apologize in advance if so. I'm having trouble with two things;

      1- Finding good spherical skies (for free)

      2- When I try to render with what skies I found, I don't have all the fine high lights rendered in the main rendering window, but I do in the "Exploration Render" window. Can anyone take a good guess at why that problem occurs ? This is with a "Spherical sky" and a jpeg image as background image. I did try different levels of rendering (from low+ up to high+) in the render presets, and still no "fine high lights details", but the Exploration Render window gives a very low definition rendering anyway, so that shouldn't be the problem logically. I also tried with physical sky, and it's the same problem.

      If anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it very much, and again, sorry if this isn't the correct place to address this specific topic, but my head is dizzy with all the tutorials, researching and mistrials.

      PS: I did try the Twilight Render forum, and have gotten no answer, so here I am.
      PPS: I dragged and dropped images to illustrate the problem, I hope that worked.

    • RE: Shape bender doesn't really work

      Hi,

      In my case, shape bender doesn't work appropriately, the bending is... off and distorted.

      I followed the correct steps (component, straight line, and curved line aligned with red axe - line same width as component), selected my component, clic on shape bender tool, select straight line, then the curved one, and then the green preview appears, but it's not following the curved blueprint on the ground, it's not right above it (as it should), it's distorted out of angle and has this weird geometry pulling on it on one end stretching.

      I'm not sure exactly how to insert an image here, but I dragged and dropped it right in the text boxe (hope it works), and tried putting the [img] pictures code around it. If you can't see the image, can you tell me how to ad it in please ? I am not familiar with coding, if that's what this is. Sorry, it's my first time joining a conversation on this forum, on this platform.
