Nice Joe, welcome.
Can we see more close up shots of your ship? Maybe some wire frames?
If you ever do find them post them up as it looks like an interesting shape!

Been busy with uni but just got past the first deadline so nothing to d for a while. Been working on a more realistic model maybe set a hundred years from now.
All the physics is about right so far taking into account the spin of each floor in each module to create so some gravity that is comfortable for humans, the right types of fuel and how much is needed verses the ships weight, how many radiators etc, I dont have a clue myself but some people cleverer than myself have done a lot to tell me what goes where lol.
Anyway here it is with a bit of PP in photoshop to get the details out. Its about 100ft high and 650 ft long at the moment, but its far form done and this wil only be a small part of the finished model.
'I feel sorry for people recently graduating and looking for work though....must be a nightmare.'
Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh not looking forward to it!!!
Ahh I see its a bit like warhammer 40'000, nah haven't really got time do get into something new got some deadlines over the next two weeks but ill check it out soon and see if anything takes my fancy, thanks!
No I dont think these are rendering, correct me if im wrong jump man, I think they are just 2D exports straight form SU making them even more impressve!
Wow thats nice, the textures on the far left three chimneys let it down a little but thats only some CC, great render sepo.
EDIT: yeah I didnt get the tree joke for ages either lol.
Havent seen any of your work for a long time and its still mad as ever lol. You ever going to render some of your stuff? Ahh anyway always been meaning to ask you do you have the original model file of my version of this model?

I lost it in a HD crash and wanted to give it a makeover for my animation project. You probably havent still got it, was years ago wasnt it!
"it strikes me a little strange that people of this caliber model with SU. wouldn't Modo or Max or something be alot more suited to your needs? unleash more potential?
forgive my ignorance but i know from experience that SU is not that well suited to this stuff. although this obviously can't be proven through your work.
anyway hats off to you, i wish to one day gain half your ability."
Yeah I suppose thats true but SU is free and max is very expensive, especially for us young'ins. SU has more potential than people give it credit for, and its super quick to model. Not only that but all the amazing plugins available here make it a tool to be reckoned with.
Wow thats pretty cool, and cars three high lol!, we dont have trains like that in England!
Missing a few little details, changed the configuration a bit but thinks it looks better this way round.
do they really stack two high in real life!!!! looks like it could be dodgy around corners lol.
yeah I did what you said 32' and the line overlay does work better, decided to so a more cartoony look and put extra lines in.
Woah those sinks are pretty amazing, the rendering is flawless!
go toy camera! just installed it now its pretty nifty hey. Anyway this model is great the renders look better each time, what about putting some characters in there?

Another shot with different lighting, testing a wood floor texture i've just made. This is a raw Kerkythea output.
now thats nice, the chrome on the guns and hinges gives it the extra edge!
did some more work on it today while bored in lectures>>> There are a lot of small details that just dont show in podium renders is there a way to refine it somehow maybe change the light settings so you can see everything? Or do I have to just scale up the render size?
thanks man this is just what I need to get some of my stuff textured, and dont worry im good at making textures just not applying them to my models.
where can I get WHATS's ruby can you post a link im hopeless at finding rubies on this site lol
yeah it is amazing I hope I can get my rendering on par with my modeling soon your pic really is awesome!!! any more images like this by the way?
plus on your tutorial can you not do the texture thing with v.6 do you have to use 7?
