Dont know what this is yet started doing some stuff for Uni and it turned into this lol, i should really work on my train of thought!
Im learning new things from this site all the time and every model I do seems better than the last, glad I was told about this site!

SU UV mapping isnt a mess its impossible as far as I know, I thought you had to use another programme?

the car models are fantastic, I especially like the Xzell. Not a fan of the bike though, its great but the mirrors and glass let it down in looks. Great renders anyway, what does hypershot offer that podium doesnt by the way?

lol well not in that render anyway but dont worry its there. You should have waited haha.
I had to get rid of some of the detail as it was too poly heavy (ive got the whole city docks to do)and I made it a bit thinner as it was too fat for its location, but thanks again its going to be good and fits in well.
Also did one of the ODST pods that will be crashing down into the city, nearly finished.
The dock building marked TRAXUS is from halo 3 and made by UGV2 ive messaged him to see if I can use it for my model but no reply so far, ill wait a bit longer otherwise ill just have to make it myself.

Well decided to go fullwhack and make the whole city then animate it all! So the base station for the elevator is pretty much finished now just have to make the bridges and train lines. Anyway here it is at about 98% complete. The Carrier was ripped from the Halo 2 game.

What seems to be the proble, ultimatez? If anything scifi is easier as you can just make stuff up when you get stuck lol! You should join scifi meshes, you will get lots of help & inspiration over there!

Im making an orbital elevator and have lots of buildings dotted about but id love to use this or a modified version for the centerpiece skyscraper if you will let me. You can see my model over at scifi meshes or on the last page of my thread here. Here is a pic of it and I think your building with some heavy antennas would fit in nicely in replacing one of placeholders. Ill credit you of course! Anyway the cars are awesome ill make sure to check this out more, email me if I can use the building or PM me at SFM if you still use it, thanks!!!!!

they are pretty cool, what would make it even better is if you change the poses of the three robots so that the legs are in different positions. For example the spider on the stairs should be looking into the room pivitod on its own body, it would add some character also! Anyway good work, can you post a pic of the first pic without any PP work?

Thanks its not a city just the base of the elevator. I came across a piece of concept art for the recently released Halo ODST and thought id give it a shot, its far from finished, once ive got it all roughed out il get in close and add the details!
Ive got an animation module coming up in Uni in a couple of months so hopefully ill have enough halo stuff ready for a good animation in Max! -

I always run parallels desktop in my mac running XP minimized (with minimal ram usage setting selected and use it like adobe bridge for images) to browse my SU files. I get a handy thumbnail of the model which is helpful as There are so many and sometimes I name them stupid names spur of the moment lol or looking for something I did years ago! and when i find the file I want I just open it with SU on my mac with a right click! Quick and handy and you can see what everything os before you open. I hope in future however that the next version of MAC on SU has this feature.

thanks adam but I have sorted it now, I was to impatient to render and started asking questions before trying harder myself first lol. I managed to fix it and your right about it not matching up. Thanks for the help anyway.
