    • RE: Plugins/Extensions Slowing down Skp

      @tig said:

Complex Extensions and licensed ones will take longer to load.
So anything doing Rendering is an obvious suspect.
Others which have license-checking - e.g. Estimator - might also impose a delay.

Have you installed the SketchUcation Toolset?
      https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=SketchUcationTools
      It includes several useful tools...
You can use its "Plugin Manager" to disable sets of loader files and see which are causing the issue.
You can of course just slim-down your loading files so that only those you regularly use are loading at start up !

Thx for the feedback TIG , πŸ‘Š
I'm gonna give it a try right now !. To wait long for SketchUp to opens is kinda frustrating! πŸ˜’

    • Plugins/Extensions Slowing down Skp

      Hi There guys !

....As title says, the fact is that i've suddenly experienced considerable delays in getting my Sketchup to open as quickly as it normally did. This is with new files, completely empty files and i'm not sure what can cause it.
I usually work with many plugins / extensions that loads when starting Skp, but now i installed some more at the same time (I don't remember which ones, that's the problem πŸ˜• ) and my Skp has already slowed down ... so my question is ... Is there any way to detect which plugin / extension is taking longer to load?

Thank you in advance for your help πŸ˜„

    • RE: Sketchup Vray Proxy problems

The Vray 2 Beta 2.00.23490 (wich i use) gives me only the proxy problems. the Rt works pretty fine even with 1280x980 resolution.
The new version 2.00.24261 is for sure more stable in every single case..but Crashes with a RT OUTPUT bigger that 640 X 480 usin any file , even the same file used with the 2.00.23490.
I know ..and i don`t understand how sooo many people is using proxy and i'm the only one with this kind of issues.

Perhaps i need to buy the full version of the new Vray to avoid the RT crash.
By the way ..my pc spects are:
      Win 7 64 bit
      Intel I7 3.4 ghz
      16 gb RAM
      Nvidia quadro 4000

Thx for your reply DKENDIG but i`ve had the sames issues with the new version..with the FREE trial...besides the RT crashes with an output bigger that 640x480...
Another thing that happens is that everytime i save , close and open again the file with the proxy sketchup gives me a error someting like..

      " Error Loading File D:\ProgramData/ASGVIS/VfS/Ruby/R2P.rb
undefined method entityID' for nil:NilClassError Loading File vfs.rb undefined method entityID' for nil:NilClass"....¬¬

    • Sketchup Vray Proxy problems

      Hi there guys
Well...here is what happens ..I'm trying to use Vray in my 3d projects ..but so far vray is not working for me..everytime i import a proxy in my scene (copy-pasting or importing..is the same result)..the entire scene desappear when render..and if delete the proxy all shows back again πŸ˜• This happen with vrmesh exported from 3d max (i have tried only 3D max vrmeshes.)
Other proxy issues is that i import the vrmesh in sketchup..then apply textures , use Vray RT to see how is it going and everthing is ok..then i save it as Skp file and close it...but when i open it again ALL TEXTURES ARE GONE !! only one white material in the entire model is saved 😒 ......Any clue?.

I'm using SKP PRO 8 and Vray 2 Beta 2.00.23490

Thx in advance. Regards from México. 😎

    • RE: Indigo GPU

Hi there guys ......i'm looking at this tread and..i think i'm totally lost.
I really want to be an indigo master ..But it's so slow for the deadlines i get in my job ..so no chance to use it.I've seen that you mention some envidia grapic cards and GPU stuff ...What it is all this GPU about?? ..how will this make indigo faster??...i have a NVIDIA GEFORCE 7000M and AMD ATLON X2 ( i guess two cores) 3gb ram...is this gonna be enough to have a significant difference when using the new indigo??
I'm sorry guys but i'm an Artlantis user and all this is totally new to me.

    • RE: [Plugin] Import OBJ with Materials v2.1 20131118

Thank you very much TIG , i got a xfrogg with 675000 lines-faces(don't remember)into Su but still there is textures missing ( i know, i read YOU MENTION THIS BEFORE " with complex model wont keep the textures coordinates but you can re-apply them by hand afterward..)How this can be done if every sigle face is different than the other 674999 ?(...I'M TALKING ABOUT TO MAP A TREE) i mean it would be easy if the faces were components so this could make to re-map a tree a easier work. However I REALLY REALLY APPRECIATE ALL THE EFFORT AND TIME YOU ARE PUTTING ON THIS PLUGIN TO MAKE IT WORK.

      THANK YOU SO MUCH

    • RE: [Plugin] Import OBJ with Materials v2.1 20131118

Hey Chris , It's quite simple. There is a limited number of faces that the .3ds allows per model. The 3ds file format only supports 64 000 faces and the Highly detailed vegetation may contain more than 540 000 and a .obj supports that quantity of faceS. That's why can't converte my trees into .3ds. Well, i could import a Xfrog tree..but ....DAM !! THERE IS NOT TEXTURES...it's not supposed that this .obj Importer would keep the texture cordenates or the UV mapping?? iT WOULD BE IMPOSIBLE TO MAP 540 000 faces PROPERLY with a texture wich is a .tiff Leaf

Yup , don't go placing it anywhere...let's wait if TIG find the tricky thing,I really hope so because the good 3d vegetation it's very important to achieve realism in renderings, that's why i need this plugin work perfect so bad. πŸ˜„
