The whole forum looks now like a playground with a bunch of kids enjoying and exploring their new toys. πŸ˜„

I'm not seeing enjoyment. I'm seeing a bunch of kids trying to force a smile despite their parents giving them the same toys they had the year before, only with a new sticker on.

    • RE: Google Sketchup Pro 7 is out

I'm inclined to think that maybe a Googler's had a laugh, someone's made a mistake and changed the page too early, or maybe the page has been hacked.

Just putting a link to buy the new version without any announcement or details whatsoever of the changes is just too weird for me.

Not getting my hopes up just yet.

    • RE: Part of Stinkie HQ

Thankfully Stinkie has no friends, that's why there's no blood splatters.

If he had friends they'd have smashed their face into the wall because of the drop for the first step and another of his friends would have broken their backs falling down the stairs when they reached for the handrail and found it down by their ankle.

OK ....Jackson you are solely responsible for humiliating the man. The administration is off the hook.

Stu is the one who was throwing the insults around (metaphorically, of course) but he wasn't naming names. I was responsible for the insults being attached to the people who were being alluded to.

You need to run the setup file, not just place it in the plugins folder. Go to your plugins folder, double click on gmltexturizersetup.exe and it will ask if you want to run the file. Click yes, probably go through a few more steps and that will install it on your computer.

johnsenior1973, you might note I was speaking metaphorically and commenting more about people's attitude to gross overbumping than this guys individual posts.

I'd even argue over whether he is bumping his thread anyway. I've just had a look through the last few pages of his thread and each new post has included either new work or he's developed his model further. "Bumping" is when someone posts a new post solely to get the thread back into the first page. That's not what he's done at all.

Im sure greentoaster is a nice guy but I think somebody should have tapped him on the shoulder, about 35 pages ago, and said 'enough is enough'

To that I'll quote Green Toaster himself: *Thanks Rogue - I doubt I'll ever achieve your level of detail, your ability to create stuff with great accuracy and impressive creativity.

In contrast, my skill set seems limited, not very professional. But, I'll be the first to admit I'm still having lots of fun and I really enjoy my primitive, almost cartoon-like simple creations. I'm just trying to enjoy life - not taking things too seriously.*

Sorry,I dont agree with...'Well!..If you dont like it you dont have to look at it!!...Hmmp!..Sniff!!...So There!!!'
This used to MY forum!...and I used to CARE about it!!
If a stray dog [speaking metaphorically] comes into my house and craps on my prize carpet am I going to...not look?.....hold my nose and not step in it?....and pretend its not there?
And seeing that particular thread has been mentioned [and there has never been a thread with a more prophetic name πŸ˜„], how can anybody justify spending forty four [44] frigging pages on variations of an interesting but limited theme that probably could have been covered adequately in 5 or maybe 10 posts?

So his work is the same as a dog crapping in your house? **** off. He's just showcasing his work. Something he is obviously interested in and has put a lot of work in. If you're not interested in it then don't look at it, but obviously with the replies he has been getting other people are interested in it.

If he'd have started new threads for each of his cars then I could understand the complaints. I was one of the people who made a comment about the bloke who reserved a space in the gallery for his future pictures. But having a go at Green Toaster is ridiculous.

Im guessing theyre referring to this thread: http://www.sketchucation.com/forums/scf/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=2650

If it is that thread then TBH I'm completely against Jackson's original post. Green Toaster is doing a lot of different models, if you don't want to look at his output then you don't don't bother clicking on his thread. Much better that he is keeping all his work in one thread rather than making multiple threads and taking up more forum space.

    • RE: POLL: SCF Gallery- is bumping OK?

I haven't noticed people bumping their own threads.

The way I use Sketchucation is that I have the New Posts bookmarked and I have a look through there to see if there are any topics of interest to me. I don't know whether I'm missing this bumping because of that, but I really don't know who this thread is referring to.

The guy posting that he'd soon be posting his pictures was just bizarre. Has he even posted some images yet? πŸ˜†

I use it. It's an awesome plugin. I didn't have any problems setting it up.

Have you installed the program, or just placed it in the folder?

would love to participate, been working for a couple of years in doing architectural models and designing kitchens, and entertainment centers, sadly I am in USA.

They are from the USA as well.

They don't really care where you're from. They just want you to work for next to nothing. If you're prepared to do that then I'm sure they will be delighted to have you work for them.

The real Gropius House is white. Is there a reason your render isn't like the real house?

There is also a large tree right in front of the house from the angle of the rendering.

Much prefer the first image. Second one too dark.

I like the exposed framework of the building, but I'd prefer to have windows on the outside rather than the brick. Obviously that would depend on how the house was laid out.
