Why don't you post some of the things you've already done, so people will be be able to give you realistic challenges.

Chango, The sign-age can be tweaked as they are 3d components, however I thought they looked okay, which ones look unrealistic?
I had an issue with the signs as well when I first viewed the image. Thinking about it though, it is only the the sign to the left of the Game Stop store (One Euro?) which I feel is too small and the blank space on the Starbucks store which makes it look like a vacant store.
There should also be a pavement to the left of the building. People shouldn't have to walk on the road or grass to get from one of the stores to the bank.

RE: Church remodel...
If I was on the spending committee of the church I'd be voting to save the money and leave things as they are, rather than remodeling. If you did a Sketchup model of the church as it is now, there would be practically no difference between that and the remodel picture.
You list the camera, is that a disclaimer for not being able to get the picture in focus?
Good Sketchup work and style though.

RE: [Plugin] BezierSpline - v2.2a - 22 Apr 21
Thanks for this great plugin.
For me, one of the huge benefits is that it is now possible to draw much better with Sketchup. The normal Freehand draw tool in Sketchup is, quite frankly, pretty much useless. Now there's no need to use the Freehand tool, the Cubic Bezier Curve works so much better.

You live in the USA and do not give crap and cannot vote? according to your profile, you come from a very conservative part of the country ...what gives?
I'm English, but I've lived in the US for two years. As I'm only a permanent resident I cannot vote in elections.

The fact that there are eight threads is because there are multiple issues being discussed relative to politics.
Not really. It's mainly down to you spamming the board with all the anti_McCain or Palin links you can find.
I couldn't care less about the American election, but your spamming of this board has made me wish I could vote so that I'd vote for McCain.

RE: This is what is wrong with the 3DWH rating system.
Pretty stupid reason for not using the 3DW, IMO. Of course there are some idiots who spoil the place, but not using the 3DW because of them is like locking yourself in your room because of all the bad people in the world.

The renders look amazing. Can't stand the camera angles though.

...that doesn't mean they have the maturity to make the correct decision.
Thats the bit i dont get. As although they are deemed mature enough to decide whether to have sex with anyone else they suddenly lose this ability when it comes to teachers (and anyone else in a position of trust, according to the law.)
But the point is that most people aren't mature enough at the age of 16 to deal with the whole issue of sex and relationships. Nearly everyone gets burned at that age. The whole point is that what is already a difficult and stressful time shouldn't be made many times worse by being taken advantage of by someone in authority over them.

Remus, I'm not too clear on your initial post. Are you saying that if a teacher/professor has consentual "relations" with a student over 18 yo then they go on a sex offenders list?
The offence is for students between the ages of 16 and 18.

@remus said:
Putting someone on the sex offenders list can severely restrict your choice of job, and i think thats disproportionate to the 'offence' that has been committed.
p.s. Im refering to relationships between otherwise legal people, not the abuse of under age children.
Just because a teacher can be liable to be put on the Sex Offenders Register for a relationship with a student, it doesn't mean that they all will. IMO it's just a measure so that a serious offender who has had sexual relationships with many pupils will be put on the register, but a teacher who has a loving relationship with a student probably won't.
Put it this way, if a teacher is found guilty of using his position to coerce his pupils into relationships with many pupils, the relationships have all caused negative influences in the lives of the pupils and the teacher has also forced pupils into relationships with the threat of harming their education if they don't comply, isn't that worthy of being placed on the Sex Offenders Register?

Giveaway of the Day - Inpaint
http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/inpaint/
Only available for another 22 hours.
*Giveaway of the Day - Inpaint
October 7, 2008Delete any unwanted object from your photo, such as extra power-line, people, text… The program will automatically inpaint the selected area to erase it. Inpaint reconstructs the selected image area from the pixel near the area boundary. Inpaint may be used to remove undesirable objects from still images.
If some unexpected object spoils an otherwise good photograph, Inpaint may be used to remove it. Simply select the object. No need for fiddly messing about with the clone tool!
It is alarmingly simple to use. Draw a selection around the object you wish to remove from the picture, and run smart remove selection. Inpaint will fill the selection area with intelligently generated texture drawn from the surrounding image data.*

RE: How to get rid of "curve lines"?
Don't know if this is the problem, but have you tried texturing the internal faces of the model as well as the external ones?

I think it might be fair to say that people of below average IQ expect to be taken care of in our societies by the people of higher IQs. So, should they not leave government to the people of higher IQs?
Judging by that statement you'd be in danger of losing your right to vote. How would you feel if you were stripped of the right?

RE: My latest image
Awesome picture.
The one problem I have with it is the woman and the sunlight on her back. Actually, I don't think the woman should be in the picture even if the shadows worked properly.

Remus, it's "Brown". How do you pronounce Audi?
Howdy without the aitch.
For me, it's Brawn; Nike, rhyming with Bike; Adidas is add-i-dass, not a-dee-dass. If these companies want to tell me my pronunciation is wrong, they can go and take a running jump.

RE: GML texturizer 2.0
I remember seeing the website before. I must have written off the plugin as not being worth downloading. Even when I had a look at this thread my first thought was that PS made this plugin redundant.
I actually think that this could be one of the best plugins of all though.
