So, I'm not sure I get it. Will it be a standalone tool, or an integrated extension?

Wondering if you could make it work without leaving SU but rather as a window that automatically updates model.
100% to happen.
Do want.

I have some other ideas I'd like to explore related to that.
I'd be awesome to have your custom PushPull working on the subdivided mesh (but PushPulling the low-poly quads, not the subdivided tris like it does now)

(specially refraction)
There doesn't seem to be refraction in his glass material.
Indeed it does work (with the x86 version, oddly).
I'm not sure I can share it with you. Maybe you can request it from Trimble, or register as a developer? It's quite easy and fast.
The SDK has changed quite a bit. That dll is now called "SketchUpAPI.dll", so I suspect it won't work.
"SketchUpReader.dll" is now in a "deprecated" folder.

It would be cool to have render engines integrated in the workflow
This is already in the pipes!
Bah Jiminy, you're always ahead of my cool ideas...
I didn't came up to the idea. I just happened to follow the discussion

Sort the list by name, not by visibility.
Laubwerk is looking for a ruby developer for their Sketchup integration.
I've had a few conversations with them, they are really nice guys
EDIT : This post is aimed toward developers potentially interested in the job.
Don't get too excited, this might take a while to come to market
Well there's no Ruby API that can modify the live model like in Sketchup.
This is likely a material issue. Probably, the link to the texture files in the materials of the border, are broken.
There's no API for Layout, so plugins are not possible.
There is an SDK, though, which means we can create external applications or Sketchup plugins that can generate or modify Layout files (but closed and saved on the disk)
I don't think there's a way to get it easily.
You have to iterate through the model, searching for each child at each level, and multiply each transformation.
At least, that's how I do it.
Not saturate me and Ronen with support request. Even when limiting we get a lot of them, as we are still in beta.
