    • RE: Did a God or Gods create the universe? EDITED

πŸ˜† it gets more interesting than before πŸ˜›

contextual with the topic, in my opinion, it's a simple logic that there could only be one boss in a business. commanding officer in a unit, director in a project, etc.

more than one head figures might give it a lot of mess. since each one of them would probably do things in their own way and desire, each one believe. πŸ˜†

i could imagine if one would like the shape of the earth to be a perfect cube and the other one prefer it to be sphere shaped. they'll end up quarreling or even fighting each other. and left the project without even ever start to do it πŸ˜†

Er, no. It's a method, with 'rules' that were developed and improved upon over time.

well, that sounds more like parts of a system to me, Tom.

      πŸ‘ i know, Gai.
i read it because it also about rendering application and anything necessary for a good rendering process. just thought that it might be good to catch the main ideas in rendering works.
i am not sure whether i can afford Thea in near future. i wish Kerkythea would have some kind of the similar progress. even the smallest will do. KT is the best free render app available anyways.

You can control how dim/warm you want it to go. It also has a 1 hr override facility in case you are working on colour-sensitive stuff.

      Gai,
it was about [TUTORIAL]: texturing organic form (subsmooth)
Frederik and you were also there, and they're talking about displacement and bump map.
      thank you Gaieus.

Given an atheistic worldview, I wonder how one might account for logic to exist at all.

Logic is man-made. It's that simple. Or did I misunderstand you?

i might think logic is just there as it is. like Alan said once, "...the fact that it is...".
man just invented how to utilise it. and later on picturing and develop sort of systematic of it.
      it's something natural within creatures.

Thank you Guys for your advices in this issue.
It appears also to me that the problem don't come from SU itself but that SU just reveals.

yes, in most cases 3D application will show you what kind of graphic adapter you have on board. that's some sort of ways to test your graphic adapter capabilities actually. especially when you are buying or upgrading your pc.
i can see that you are using ATI.
good luck with your problem solving, Simon.

The best and most straight forward free ware I have tried has been Kerkythea without exception.

in my opinion too. KT is the best freeware available ever there for rendering.

i spent less than 48 hours from learning both SketchUp and Kerkythea to send 3 models rendered to a friend. who ask for a favour to give an idea for a quite small building to develop.
back then there was only SketchUp 6 available to download and learn πŸ˜„
here's one of them that still left

      [attachment=0:2d336y5i]<!-- ia0 -->3 x 11 C lights.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:2d336y5i]
if there's any other 3D modelling and a render application that would allow you to download-learn-modelling-render and send 3 models in less than 48 hours, please let me know (not to mention they are the freeware ones). i might give it a thought to try them πŸ˜›

      yes. sorry Gaieus
i just read that on the other post about doing displacement on a model created with subdividesmooth or something. and they talked about bump map and displacement map. (also read their definition in wikipedia, etc. few minutes ago).
      thank you for confirming

do you mind if i ask you few questions?
i still miss the way to get the displacement and how to make it.
does it also possible to do with Kerkythea?
