Hey guys

There was this plugin that would create a few copies of an object with a different rotation, basically different views of a component, great for those showcasing/presenting situations....

I mean, DOH! of course.

I've got a question about [regular] selecting, or deselecting, rather. You hit he SHIFT key and it works as +/-, right? Is there a way to have just the 'MINUS' function, so you actually ONLY deselect?
Cause, when you select some objects and then when you want to deselect you actually might select some undesirable ones, know what I mean? Especially when there are a lot of lines or what not.... It actually acts as an INVERSION, rather than just DESELCTION.

Is it just me or is it almost impossible to truly get a precise search result there? Even when I select a particular author, I almost never get a 'first result' search (you know, it should come up on the very top, it should be the very first), a lot of times not even a lot scrolling down helps and I have to download and install it manually! So harsch! (kidding)

Ok, didn't repaired that piece yet, but lets say I have a nice ['working'] surface, how do I actually make it into a solid?

I'm aware of one thread that's dealt with this, the issue was a bit different though.

I'm using TIG's Extrusion tools, most of the time and to be able to make solids out of them surfaces would be so cool. Its been a while since I was doing stuff in SU, so I forgot if there are tools for this....

I'd like to use the Trial version to make a one-time presentation/portfolio [to be shown to a funding/grant comitte], hopefully we'll get it and buy a 3D printer and a Sketchup Pro of course.

Would it be against the Legal Agreements, do you think?

I have a hard drive on a verge of collapse so need to install the OS and all the programs on a new one. Is there a way I can properly 'copy' my current SU installation, especially all the plugins/extensions/things. I reckon it wouldn't be a very pretty thing to just copy the plugins folder, right.... ? :

So umm, yea....

Wishful thinking, I know! But hey, its almost christmas, so I thought.....
I know its kind of a taboo tobic haha, but still. This would make things like tracing images and so on, SO MUCH MORE less of a pain in the ....
