As far as production goes even with the most uhhumm savvy of cad programs you still end up using a third party software to configure your panels plots etc.

those curve definitions are nowhere close to what an actual tensile structure would actually develop there are flat planes it looks rather rudimentary although conceptually its great

i am voting for the use of dwg's with layout insertion of pdfs into layout and sketchup, also coming from a non developer or programming knowledge why do dimensions not import "if you have turbocad pro you can workaround that dimensions import"

i cannot get eebf to work in 2017 I have uninstalled and reinstalled 2017 one plugin at a time starting with freedo tools any suggestions

Sometime, a schematic presentations seem to be best a little less 'in your face' in grey scale...

I tried it out on a little modular house I designed...

The only problem with it is that it doesn't act like 'face styles' in that changing from one scene to another it doesn't save with styles....

Not complaining though!!! :sketchstatic: Would love to see it included in SU7.0 face styles...

i 100% agree at times less is better i set up scenes/models very similar at times for LO

Has anyone ever tried the super-sub script command button and not found away to turn it off every time i use the label its stuck on subscript and i cant make it go away

lets all push to import PDF's into layout and be able to edit them thats not asking too much is it

I like this idea, i am thinking if you click on your viewport your line tool automatically sets the scale in reference to the viewport

In my curiousity of the yrs using sketchup i have noticed there are a million ...maybe a little less plugins... i love sketchup i love the diversity of plugins, when others SU users come into my office and look at my SU panel ofter i hear "my sketchup looks nothing like yours" in notice of my panel layouts and plugins

I find it very interesting "not really" that none of the great plugin developers have ever done anything amazing with a dimension tool plugin

Is there a unspoken rule that developers can not develop a better dimension tool

example most of us use other cad programs in most cases you can define leaders to numerous things leader lengths and so on

I am a sketchup pro user, but there are limitations of 2D dimensions the incorporation of being able to use a better dimension tool inside SU to output in our viewports would be ICING

Why cant we have plugins for layout? has this been covered sorry?

Thank Kaas, from us here in the wilderness. I thought that the simple dialog box interface in SU15 was so easy, Especially liked that I could stick em all together and click on the ones I needed at the time.

Software designers have to justify their bucks I s'pose.

My bottom line advice is; If it ain't broke, don't fix it, please. (Or,another way of saying it: Don't add 'features' for the sake of it, please.

Me personally, I would prefer if SU stayed just as it is. My workflow can handle 'clipping' and 'UV' mapping and all the other 'things'.

My main ask would be more integration with LO. With similar, if not exact, commands.

I agree i really wish layout commands copying etc matched SU
