I'm interested in how this will be useful for you.
This was going to be my question. Why?

And why not take programs who have SKP export format ?

Moi3D (useful for transform Nubs in SKp), Bricscad, PConPlanner etc...
PconPlanner or Moi3D can be used as convertor !
PconPlanner is a great resource!

RE: Best import formats to SketchUp
2D DWG from AutoCAD works well for me. I bring it in and use it as a base to model from. I almost never use the lines from the DWG file as SU doesn't do the best with importing DWGs. I group all of the DWG lines and trace over. Once this step is over I delete the DWG file to keep the SU file from getting to "large".
As they say here in the States...."Your mileage may very"

Too bad but no real surprise here.
No it's not. This has been Trimble's business model for years. It was only a matter of time.

If you're using Make, maybe switch to the last version 2017? At least download it (and keep the 2015 installer safe for future use if you want to keep using that one).
Trimble won't deactivate old Makes but in theory a new future Windows version could potentially not be compatible with the 'old' 2015 SU. This is theory though - SU8 still can be installed fine if I'm not mistaken. Maybe when we're switching to 128 bit systems? (does that exist anyway?)
Have we not already seen this with the ARM based Windows 10 Surface machines?

I should be able to work with both 2019 and 2020, Right?
My 19 and 20 are working side by side.

Yes, just updating mine on the 23rd of this month.

RE: Anyone Upgrading to 2020?
LOL, just renewed my M&S and when I log into my account at SketchUp.com it says that I only have the free version. Even click on the link in the receipt email after renewing it.
OK, did the update/upgrade "Wizard". Got it going

RE: Anyone Upgrading to 2020?
LOL, looks like I did last week when my M&S came due and I had it to auto-update. Downloading right now.....

RE: BIM SKETCHUP
IIRC wasn't this the main reason that Trimble bought SkethcUp? Weren't they going to use it as a basis for their own BIM system or something?

Sorry, I must have done something wrong on my end. Let me try again.
Edit: Try the above link again. Sorry

RE: Problem exporting SU -->autoCAD
Ok, I gave it a shot and here is what I found out. Your original file with all of those scenes was not working well. I was able to import the dwg into AutoCAD 2020 but it was a hog and slow to use. I deleted all of the scenes and saved to a 2018 SU file and used AutoDesk's free SU import utility and it's smooth as silk now. The dwg files grows from a 45 mg skp to a 86.5 mb dwg. Not sure on what your end result is on this.

RE: [Plugin] Universal Importer - v1.2.6 - 30 July 2024
Huh, so far working as advertised for me. I've only tried a few of the formats so far but they mostly worked for me. Here is a .gltf file I exported from Simlab and used this plugin to bring it into SU. It took a few minutes, like 3 but it came in with good results.

Impressive, imported a Quake 2 (game) md3 file.
Thank you
