As I see the voting results as per now, we will continue to utilize the CDN.

RE: Curiosity about hidden members
To take a look at it from an other viewpoint: Should somebody have the right to decide whether he/she shows his/her online presence to the wide public or not?
In my opinion: yes, they should have this right and here at SketchUcation they have it.

They would be checking the "Who is online" corner?
Nobody would keep them back from doing so....

RE: Curiosity about hidden members
Very useful if your boss/wife/friend hates that you spend your time online.

Edited to clarify:
...boss/wife/friend... = ... boss OR wife OR friend .... -
RE: Elevations Tag Is there a Plugin for that??
A direct link to that plugin : http://sketchucation.com/resources/pluginstore?pln=ElevTag

RE: Bootstrapcdn needed?
SketchUcation uses BootrstrapCDN to serve the font icons used on the site. Using a CDN instead of loading the server with serving this font-file means less server-load and therefore faster page-load.
This is the first time I hear about using this CDN for an attack. As I see in the quoted article after the incident the operator of the CDN increased security, so the probability of such cases is reduced now.
However if members of the SketchUcation community feel more comfortable not using bootstrapcdn, we can serve those files from the SketchUcation server without any use of bootstrapcdn.
To find it out: Please vote thumb-up on this post if you would feel more comfortable if we served the files from the own server. Please vote thumb-down if you are satisfied with the current setup. If the overall result is 10 or more we'll get rid of bootstrapcdn at the SketchUcation site.

RE: SEO Urls for the Board
Well, an interesting suggestion....
I just don't know if it would have any positive effect on the search apperance or not.
Try in google e.g. "Fredo6: SU Clock" or "TIG: CutNfill v1.1" and you will see that the forum URL's are ranked above the other ones even in their current form. However changing the URLs have a huge risk: There are thousands of 3rd party sites linking our forum's URLs. If we change them, all those links became unusable.....

Thank you to all Mac users who tested. Yes, you can vote on your own post as well. But only once! So be careful which thumb you choose on your own.

Edit: UPPSSS.... The red one....

RE: Sketchup Free/Pro Question
SketchUp Make's licence ( http://www.sketchup.com/license/b/sketchup-make ) is very definite in this question:
@unknownuser said:
Trimble Navigation Limited and/or its affiliates ("Trimble") gives you a personal, worldwide, royalty-free, non-assignable and non-exclusive license to use the executable version of the Software for non-commercial use only. Non-commercial use means: you may not sell, rent, lease or lend the output of the Software or the Services. If you are a for-profit organization of any kind, or an employee of a for-profit organization using the Software or Services in that capacity, you are engaged in commercial activity; therefore, in order to use the Software and Services, you must purchase a SketchUp Pro license.
So no commercial use of Make is allowed.....
Of course it is for the latest version not for the previous ones.

Emptied caches and it still doesn't work. I'll update Safari and try again.

Thank you Olishea for letting me know. As I mentioned you in PM if you have the time and wish to participate in a step-by step debugging, we can do that. Maybe Skype or gmail voice chat could make it more effective. Let's discuss it in PM if you wish.

RE: Topic Voting Anyone?
May I ask a Safari user who had problems with voting to erase the Safari cache and try to vote again and tell me the result?
I made some changes in the code but can't test as we do not have a Mac. -

hmmm. Now I can vote positive on my own post. I'm wondering what people think on being able to change the vote later. Looks like it's not possible to change currently. ....
At the moment every loged in member can vote once on every post (including his/her own posts). My opinion is that changing the votes later is not a good idea as it might lead to the manipulation of votes. The vote shows the opinion of the voter at the moment of voting. Of course this opinion might change later and it can be expressed in an other post.

RE: They (sell >> correction >>) USE our plugins in China
I've clicked the download button on that page without any success.
So PluginStore remains the best place to download.
BTW: Congratulations for getting into the Chinese market.
