Hi, everyone!

I've got a small problem that came into my mind while I was rendering an exterior scene. I've got a face-me component with a PNG tree texture and I try to make it cast a pretty good shadow.
The thing is that if I render from multiple views with multiple sun angles, the object only faces me not the sun and I cannot get the shadows I want.
So I thought of placing another png tree, facing the sun, that would give me the required shadow but to be invisible in the final render.
If any of you encountered this issue or you have some advice for me, I'll be very grateful!

I have 2 24" monitors which are really wonderful things to have in multi-tasking and 3d modelling.

The thing is that I don't know the donors' names until they donate.
And I might need to edit the 3d text after it's placed, or to scale it if one person has a bigger name than the box I intend to put it in.
I don't know how much work is involved. I only know that I am not the best coder around.
Still I can pay if somebody wants to help me with this.
We have one day left until the event. I hope there is still time.

I made a 3d model of a building for a fundraising event. So they expect 260 ppl to donate so they could buy the building.
Now they would love if the model will interact with the fundraising event dynamically, so that the main hall will be divided in 260 parts, each of them being able to contain the donor's name and when completed, to slightly change its color.(when
a person donates, her name will be filled in automatically (without overriding the box) and the box will become slightly highlited - involving less user actions like manually resizing or painting)
If we can make it actively interact with a table(maybe from microsoft excel) it would
be awesome.
I am not the best D C maker so I wanted to ask you what you think about this. Is it possible?

well...the skp is 8 mb but the atl file is 1.3 gb. Wanted to export to Lumion because it has a lot of football pitch textures but the program could not load the .dae and the .obj file and when i tried to export from sketchup to .3ds it took me 9 hours to reach 83% and then crashed
There are 35k chairs and there are 8500000 polygons.
computer details Amd phenom II x4 955 BE 3400 mhz, 8 gb RAM and GTX 480.

I have a computer killing model of a stadium im sketchup. And I need to render it somehow. I chose Artlantis because it's the only program in which I could export the model without crashes.
Still I have a problem. How can I get a football pitch texture, with stripes, or squares just like many stadiums have?
I searched all over the internet and did not find examples or ways to do it.
So if you can help me I will be extremely happy
