I am with you pbacot concerning the thickness of the glass when rendering. If not a close up it only leads to longer rendering times and no significant better quality of the render.(at least not were I use them for)

    • RE: FlexWindow 2.1 - dynamic component

No, I mean the glass is draw as 2 planes (representing the two panes I suppose, or perhaps giving the one pane some thickness? Either way for my the use a simple plane (1) (representing 2 separated glas panes or thickness if one pane was intended ) would have been enough. (cfr. windowizer here the glas is also only represented by a simple plane.

    • RE: FlexWindow 2.1 - dynamic component

Very handy dynamic component for quick and easy use. Especially with the new feature (window sill).
Concerning the glass. As far as I am concerned I do not mind it running trough the mullions BUT speaking for myself there even should not be double panes. It is hardly visible in a sketchup drawing (only with a close-up) and when rendering (p.e. thea) double panes are rarely used because it only creates extra time and no significant difference in the outcome.Come to think off it in sketchup the double panes also gives a extra thick line when using a section cut.
But all in all, congrats for this very useful component,

    • Tensile structures Ferrari plugin

      Hi,
The Ferrari plugin worked great to make tensile structures. I recently had the need for just that plugin, seems it doesn't work anymore. Al tough I can simulate these structures using soap and bubbles or curfiloft it is not the same. Has anyone got the old ferrari plugin working in su 15 pro ?

There is a handy tool from fredo tools : report on areas.
It gives a nice report of all the areas in the file by material.

Yeah, just noticed it myself. 😳
stupid mistake. Must be because I never made some rendered animations in Thea and reading this it seemed to be real easy. Perhaps it is so I look in to it.

Bob, You may just be in luck.

Somebody (no names mentioned) is right now as we speak creating a script that will allow you to take your SU animation into Thea...ssshh! πŸ˜‰

      Happy days are here soon.

That is great news Pete, haven't seen that mentioned over on the Thea forum.
      Look forward to it.

      thank you,
Just found it myself. Lesson 1: "read" the comments from the maker. I was only working with the icons toolbar and could not understand why I couldn't find it. 😳

      srx,
Sorry to bother you again, but what I could not figure out is still unclear. Where is the option to "save current camera scenes" of the plugin ?

    • RE: [Plugin] SketchUcation Tools 2.6

Sorry Dan my mistake I did a typo.
I I start SU I get the error codes as I mentioned before. If I continue the toolbar appears. I I then open the ruby console an click on the sketchucation plugin the ruby console says :

      puts $load_path

      nil

I I try to install a ruby (p.e. comments) the ruby console says :

Error: #<LoadError: cannot load such file -- open-uri>
      c:/users/sony/appdata/roaming/sketchup/sketchup 2014/sketchup/plugins/sketchucation/scf-rbztools.rbs:1098:in require' c:/users/sony/appdata/roaming/sketchup/sketchup 2014/sketchup/plugins/sketchucation/scf-rbztools.rbs:1098:in loadHandler'

      SketchUp:1:in `call'

Thank you for looking in on it.

    • RE: [Plugin] SketchUcation Tools 2.6

      Dan,

this is the result in the ruby console :

      puts $load path
Error; #<SyntaxError; cannot load such file -- rubygems.rb
<main>; syntax error, unexpected tIDENTIFIER, expecting end-of-input
      puts $load path
                     ^>
      SketchUp;1;in `eval'
      nil

I suspect now it has something to do with the trialversion of plusspec I had running and is now removed. They needed the rubygems. Perhaps I deleted something I shouldn't have done while removing the pluspec plugin.
The installation was done in the system drive.

    • RE: [Plugin] SketchUcation Tools 2.6

      Hi,
Finally updated from V8 pro to 2014 pro. Installed extension sketchUcation Tools 2.6, and get a lot of loading errors. Made sure (I think) all the 'rights' on the different directory's are set to 'full'. Still no luck. The toolbar appears but I can not install any plugins. Any thoughts anyone ?
