    • RE: [Plugin] LSS Toolbar 2.0 Beta

I would but unfortunately I had to reinstall windows ten due to a virus but if you look at the post by driven a few posts up you would see exactly where in the rb file you need to change the code to the corrected code. it can be edited in any text editor, I find notepad++ to be an excellent fast and easy app that's free for editing minor script changes

ill will reinstall sketchup and re dl the lss tool bar and post the updated rb for mshstick.rb in lss tool bar plugin at a later date.

    • RE: Help with my SubD performing weird subdivision

Hmmm thanks a lot. Yeah I just started Modeling and picked up sketchup about 2 months ago so I still have a lot of learning to do... Sketchup was the closet program that draws like the Very old Half life Hammer map editor I used to love when I was in pre high school 16 years ago. I just need to work on the modeling basics. if only I kept modeling since middle school lol but yeah if you can point me out to some clear cut modeling tuts that would be good ive gone through about at least 27 hrs of tuts but most of them just focused on how to work various plugins, I would be gratefull, Oh and Sketchup and I are Talking things over about how to deal with our Edgren.. lol

Hi I'm using the sub D and I'm wanting to make a chair seat and its modelled in quads but when I sub divide a lot of the outer edges get like an anscilary subdivision which makes it look like a hot folded mess heres my problem model please help seeing how I'm a newbie who makes edges to make faces ... But the Edges Are making me make faces... This totally is changing our romantic relationship to brooding Dictatorship

whoops gave model prior to quadrangulation Here is the actuall quad model ... outcome still the same.

High I'm wondering if there are any plugins similar to how the follow me tool works but can use 2 rail profiles to extrude the profile Face along? I got tigs extrude tools and thought that its extrude edges by rails would work but I'm having difficulty with the melding profile I'm trying to extrude the edges along 2 closed curve rails and haven't a clue what to do with the melding profile

    • Help With Ngone detection in sketchup

ok so I'm using my pro version of sketchup 2016 to create simple desks and laboratory models for a little home made project of mine and I keep finding my self having to switch between different modeling programs to find and detect where the ngons of my model are so I can fix them before I throw my model into the unreal engine to test and a lot of times if it has even one ngon the game engine might not render it correctly or show it at all.. I use both versions of solid inspector which is a great plugin. but I just want to know if there is a plugin that can detect and point out what faces in my model have ngons

    • RE: [request] projection on curved surfaces

oh yeah um use lss_toolbar2.0 it has a function called stick group which I think is what you want . but if you have su 2016 or maybe 2015 that function wont work but I have found a work around for it ive posted on another topic

      http://sketchucation.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=80%26amp;t=63567#p582194

youll need to have notepad++ on order to find those line numbers to fix the code on but all you have to do is change like 4 words and save it and then it should work like a champ

    • RE: Help with solid

thanks yeah I kept cleaning it up to no avail I was making the lines and edges look cleaner but I was shooting myself in the foot because I kept giving edges more than 3 faces, but all is well now thanks for the reply.

moral of the story ..... Only an Edge can make you make a face....

    • Help with solid

ok so I am currently making a chair and I have ran into a problem after extensively using thom thoms solid inspector2 and solid inspector everything has come up shiny 😎

but the problem is that in the entity properties dialog it doesn't show it as a solid.

ive looked over it a lot now and I guess I need a fresh pair of eyes to take a gander at it and hopefully let me know whats goin down in sketch-mo-town.

    • Subdividing with sketchup?

ok so I know there are subdivide plugins for sketchup already like artisian tools and or that new one catmull tool, but it seems that both of these do subdive but the break the original
      form

IE: When using it on a simple cube it turns the cube into a sphere. I just want to know if there is any way to just subdive the surfaces without transforming it.
like in maya u can subdivide the number of faces per face... by the width of it x(axis) or just by its y and or z or combinations between them and it wont transform it it simple gives it more faces.
