Simple answer - trust nobody! We have to get our collective heads out of our collective arses and start thinking for ourselves.
Does anybody have the guts to say "I trust God"?

Has anyone tried to close a Verizon account and not been placed on an endless merry-go-round trying to communicate with a real person ?

The cosmetics of the 3D Warehouse have changed in the last decade.
Click on the three dots and then choose the option.

What's the secret to joining the SU forum? I've got two email addresses and both are rejected as illegitimate. Is the SU forum some kind of "secret society ?
Msphysics..........Regardless of what I animate with MSphysics, I'm waiting about 10 seconds for Toggle Play to respond. What could be the problem?
Just call me Stupid. I watch u-tube tutorials about MSphysics. Are these really tutorials or just the author's boasting about his prowess in its operation?
I'm speaking of "Tutorials Up in particular. It seems odd that viewers respond with positive comments, but all I see is a demo.
In regards to MS physics; Has anyone setup a game controller to actuate multiple joint controls at the same time?
Using a simple mouse, you can only move one joint at a time.
Consider an excavator that may have 5 or 6 joints.
Who changed the definition of "Cheap"?
When I hear "cheap" I think "poor quality". How about you?

The forums we visit are a reflection of our interests.
What other forums do you partake of?Meaning only SketchUp / SketchUcation forums or other forums?
Any forum. Some are very popular and well organized. I found Miata dot net to be a good example.
You're busy working and your doorbell rings. Surely, you don't want to go a long way to have a look.
Have any of you placed a camera of some kind to keep watch? What setup do you favor?
Never mind
I've got three animation plugins; Sketchy Physics, MSPhysics and Fredo6 Animator.
Is the latter meant to replace the first two, or does each have its own advantages?
I'm using Make 2017.

As Christmas approaches, I set aside my favorite classical music to play in lieu of the radio offerings. I pack about 6 hours of mp3 recordings on each CD.

Hello people!
I thought I'd give a review on the E-Cigs I have been using to quit smoking.
Now I tried everything. Patches, gum, spray, inhalator, will-power. But I could not stop that urge to smoke; to feel something on my throat, to breathe out smoke while relaxing. I also found it difficult keeping my hands busy....chewing pens etc.
To people who don't smoke this sounds bizarre. Smokers know what I mean.
Anyway, a friend introduced me to those generic E-Cigs. The ones that actually look like cigarettes. I was overwhelmed at first but they are so expensive it comes close to buying a packet of cigarettes. They run out very quickly and you get hardly any vapour (which looks and feels like smoke, to people who don't know what I mean).
I then discovered a new type of E-Cig. It changed my life!! There is not much choice in the UK for these, but I found a company who sells a type called the EGO. (EGO is the most basic and cheapest E-Cig)
Now I am not declaring this is the best E-Cig around, I am just astounded by the vaping experience! There is a huge selection of tobacco flavoured E-Liquids or even fruity ones, I am using a Red Bull flavour which is just perfect for me. Most people start on a nicotine strength of 24mg....over time you can reduce this to 18mg, then 12mg etc. Each flavour has various strengths of nicotine and you will find you get a better "hit" from these than you do off a real, horrible cigarette. Fantastic smoking (or should I say vaping) experience.
So...over 5 weeks I've not had a cigarette. It's not been difficult, I've not missed cigs, I can continue to fool my body into "smoking" and it's not harmful. I can breathe in without a crackling/wheezy chest and I no longer wake up coughing. It's bizarre to feel so healthy so quickly. Best of all, I've saved an absolute fortune. Because you top-up the E-Liquid and charge the unit yourself, you save sooooo much money. I get all of the pleasure and none of the guilt! [UPDATE: Still not had a cigarette in 2 YEARS!!!]
There really is no excuse for smoking any more....this is actually a better smoking experience and your health will improve DRAMATICALLY!! Just look at some videos and see how much vapour you get!
**If you read through this thread there are other videos and information on even better E-Cigs, if anyone can share info on their "vaping" devices let us know. I'll keep updating if I receive any more reviews and advice.
Tested in this thread so far:
Mods (Battery devices):
-Provari P3
-Provari V2.5
-Provari V2.5 Mini
-Ego Twist Battery
-Innokin iTaste MVP V2
-Svoemesto Semovar V3
-Kanger K-SimarAtomizers:
-The EGO or VGO
-Kanger EVOD BCC
-Vivi Nova
-Kayfun 3.1 rebuildable
-Kanger Protank
-Innokin iClear 30
-Various drippers
-Kayfun Lite +
-Kanger Protank 3
-Aspire NautilusCurrent test:
-Provari P3 with the Svoemesto Kayfun Lite Plus....excellent setup**
I am now recommending the Kanger Protank 3 and Aspire Nautilus as the best/easiest beginner setup. Easy to use, cheap to replace the coils and a very consistent device. I recommend using the 1.8 ohm coils with the EVOD for best flavour and vapour production; there is a choice between 1.8, 2.2 and 2.5. For a step-up in performance, I recommend the Kanger K-Simar mod with an Aerotank or Mega atomiser on top
Thirty years ago, I quit within 10 days......simply by drinking bottled water every time I got the urge to smoke another Marlboro. I had smoked for 25 years.

Based on a bench designed by David Rosén for Nordiska Kompaniet, Sweden, 1940s. Modeled to use as an example for someone but I like the design and might build one in the spring.
Looks pretty flimsy. How much weight is it designed to carry?
I want to thank the authors of this plugin. I've waited many years for it.
Before I retired, I used a steel detailing program that had this feature.

The path set under Preferences>Files is for components that are in the SketchUp model. When you right click on a component and choose Save as... that is the default directory. If you are just downloading components from the Warehouse to save into a directory, you'd probably do better to go to the 3D Warehouse in your browser and download them that way. Then, once you set the desired save to location, they should all automatically go there.
Out of curiosity, what sort of components are you collecting?
I've got Make 2016 on my desktop. There, when I choose not to place component in model, a dialog box appears that directs the file to my components folder and to "save as". No such dialog appears with Make 2017. Instead, my Windows file explorer opens and I'm told not only to "save as", but then I'm required to indicate where to put the file.
