cool, I am glad I learned something new today.
Thank you all.

Lifting the resolution limitations on the Image set export
The limit of 4000 pixels pre one side is outdated and practically forces me to export my scenes manually via 2d export command.
Another useful ability of the image set export would be, to name the files by the name of the scene. -
RE: [REQ] Auto-Group Geometry
Maaan, I didn't know that. that is a big Duh moment for me.
Thanks a lot.
For what else do you use shortcuts from the right-click menu? -
My 50 cents - grouping/foldering of layers and scenes
Hi all,
I would find very useful to have the ability to group scenes and layers.
If I as myself how I would want the things to look like. Then for the scene grouping, I would like to see something similar to the internets browsers tab grouping ability.
As layers go I would like something similar to layer foldering system of photoshop. -
RE: [REQ] Auto-Group Geometry
Hi, guys
I recommend to not use groups. I use components only.
Whenever I need to do extra geometry, that would differ from each other I make it a unique component.
I would very much appreciate if I could assign a shortcut to the "make unique" command instead of being forced to use only the right-click menu option.
Another thing that would speed op component creation is the ability to "confirm" component creation with the same key "G" instead of Enter, that forces me to do unnecessary gymnastics on my keyboard.
I am using SU for 12 years now and never made a group. Now I am wondering what do you use it for? -
RE: Video with bookmark on Youtube
Fredo, Thank You for all your efforts on YouTube. They make leaning your outstanding plugins much easier.

RE: [REQ] Scale Definition
I would appreciate an option to scale all components definition to their current scale.
Is there some plugin for that or any other way of doing it component by component ?I have problems with large dwg imports after I scale the to desired size. Formal dwg block imported to sketchup as components are all scaled and I need to manually scale their definitions witch can by labor-some.

RE: Advanced, Intermediate or the other one?
One of the great weaknesses of sketch up is. That one can easily fool himself into thinking he has mastered it.

RE: Design vs Art?
Hi guys,
Recently I stumbled upon this TED talk about beauty. (https://www.ted.com/talks/denis_dutton_a_darwinian_theory_of_beauty)
I found it quite eye-opening and helped me understand and communicate with my clients. Especially to those I found difficult to relate to.
Interesting article on the design blog, thanks for sharing it.
I am finding a lot of inspiration in graphic design lately. Its just beautiful, how Sketchucation community works.regards,

RE: When someone destroys your stuff! GRRR!
Hi Richard,
I find myself in situations like this too.
Marketing managers are usually numbers people. They will have some website heat map study or something like that, and will know that colourful ( more saturated, and with higher contrast) images will get more attention and presumably sell better.
I hate it and I cant do nothing about it. I view it as an architect as a problem, that needs solving. And communicate to the marketing people, that I need my work to by represented well. I cant risk my client to connect me with bad marketing or my project selling poorly, because its shown in a bad way.
For me the best argument how to get out of this situation is to prove that your solution is better than competition. -

RE: The Empire Strikes back: Autodesk Formit 360
I dont believe that touch application will be faster or better in any way compared to mouse keaybord based aplications any time soon.
Dark side nowadays is making big progress compared to the previous years. And from version 2010 and 2011 autocad LT started to be a somewhat berable product. And now that with 2015 and 2016 versions supporting graphiccard accelerated viewport rendering ( it doesnt have jaggy lines anymore ) it is quite ok.
And autodesk is going to become subscription only from 1st of February. Before that it is possible to buy last propritary licences. In my opinion it is the last chance to buy. After 31.1.2016 you can only subscribe.regards,

RE: [Plugin] TIG-LayerWatcher
Hello All,
Allow me to just share my idea on how i deal with this in my workflow.
I probably as everybody have the habit to save usually at least once in ten minutes, or usually when finishing some steps like component, floor.
To address the problem of geometry on different layer than 0 I made similar habit of running clean up plugin from ThomThom. I did set up two hotkeys for two kind of settings. First is applicable for solid like geometries with smoothing and deleting edges and the other is practically just geometry on layer 0.have a great day everybody.

RE: [REQ] SU scatter
Hi,
Great work!I had some ideas, so here I am sharing:
1 - I would like to be able to save the scatter setting as a macro( or something ) containing the models and settings for easy reuse and sharing. I imagine myself having few macro packs named grass, forest, crowd, cars on the street. fallen, leaves.
2 - I like camera clipping and distance clipping features, those will be very useful, just make sure that those will reload and recompute between the scenes during the batch render. Without, that this feature will be useless for me.

RE: Color by Layer Paint bucket
brilliant idea, I would like that as well.
I can see this tool similar to autocad's match properties.D.
