Two years ago i was still deciding what to do about my work flow, because i had hard time to keep up.
But i tried all of BIM and I wasn't satisfied with any of it. So I decided to stay in the smallest necessary evil witch is auto cad LT and i learned that i didn't use the functionality of full version anyway. I am still keeping my eye on Revit LT. And my biggest problem with sketch up was UV mapping witch is now ok thanks to fredo.

yaah i thought that naming my user with ý character was stupid, but i blame win8,1 
so lets go to the reinstall. and by the way i think its messes up more than ruby scripts.

I think it must be interesting.
I am myself was lurking around blender for a long time. It supposed to be a solution for uv mapping absence in SU, but i so far had no time to invest my time into it.

I encounter this quite a lot, especially when i have more version of some design and i need to have the same views for better comparison of the differences. I also would like to By able to copy scene-tab with all its information and paste it to other document.
Maybe there is a way with advanced camera tools. Selected mounted camera with real world parameters and paste it to other document. I did properly tested this. Its usually faster for my to copy the document with desired scene position and copy, paste in place needed geometry.

Brief description what i did.

run toposhaper
what i hoped for = have a surface generate over dwg lines with separate surfaces for different parts of dwg. Like street, lawns, pavements would be one surface with selectable areas.

i am sorry my question wasn't precise enough. I want to all triangulated edges to be smoothened, but i want to keep my drawing edges visible. And i want to be able to select surfaces and read the area of streets gardens etc.
If i use your suggestion all edges will be smoothened.
Is there any setting that can do that or some workaround ?

I was trying to do some landscape design and used toposhaper to make faces in my cad underlay, but all triangles did get unsmoothed. Is there any way how to prevent that ?

I thing it is great idea. I personally hope that trimble will notice this and do it.
Some pretty - analyssys pictures from sketch up pop from time to time. But nothing serious or use full so far.

I know about this possibility, but as you sad it is workaround.
Multi section planes active would be pretty useful for creating scene for layout, where i need to generate vector drawing. And having 4 layers of group or component just for section cuts is pure pain.
Basic philosophy is: I have big model, from with i need to generate some drawing through layout and in order to this process being fast i need to make the su model smaller and just show just the geometry from with the drawing should be generated.
I hope this is better explanation of what i need

Hi guys, me to i did encounter this thing on fresh SU8. my solution was to switch settings back to .avi change codec to full frames uncompressed, than changed back to .jpg. And i happily batch export scenes after that.
