    • Easy question for you: how to do mold and humidity effect?

Hi, I know it's an easy question for you, and if you need I will delete this topic after I resolve.

I need to know how to do something like this

      m copia.jpg

Should I overlap two textures to get the humidity/wet effect up over the floor and to get the darker portion of the wall? Or maybe is in the wall material editor the solution?

      Don't know.
Thank you for your help as usual

Well! Thank you,but I have 2 questions for you (I' using the trial version before purchasing it):
1 - I had some problem saving scenes, some objects turn back in the previous position and I need to save scenes 2 or 3 times, am I the first with this problem?

2- Most important problem. The animation has a low quality, expecially on the edges, but I don't find a panel with quality settings... (except frames) maybe is not a problem of keyframe animation extension but of all SU scene animation settings...?

      can you help me?
      Thanks

So, I saw this video on TV and I would like to realize something similar... is it possible with SU? If it is, could you suggest to me a tutorial or a video where I can see something done with SU?

      Thank you all

      dkendig thank you.
I use the last version of SU... don't if it's the last of Vray, I'm going to check it.
I thought the ambient occlusion was good only for interiors. I try something and then I post the result.
      See you

    • Intersection ground-building flat

intersection between ground and building seems flat and unreal, for interiors is possible to use "occlusion" setting, and for the external renderings?
...of course, lookin' at the render, if you have other suggestions I'll appreciate your help.

      Great Chon!
The problem was the "show GI only" checked

      This is the result..
      GI_unchecked.jpg

Now I just need to lower the sunlight power value, and it should be ok.

Thank you everibody for your help, another problem solved!

    • RE: Window's shadow disappears with sunlight

No, there is nothing in front of the window, and I don't remember I changed the sun size, probably I checked something wrong... this is the global switches setting

    • Window's shadow disappears with sunlight

As you can see in these pictures: I'd like to have this kind of sunlight on the floor through the window, with a definite perimeter

      But this is the result

    • RE: Easy question about shadow problem

      @andybot said:

perhaps you can still use the crossed trees, but use a copy of your material for the sideways facing tree that has "only in secondary" option checked. That way it is hidden in your render, but still casts shadows.

I'm so sorry, I forgot to answer to this topic! Thank you andybot, I tried the "only in secondary" option, it works!

      thanks

    • RE: Easy question about shadow problem

      And that's what I did...
Initially I tried with 3d trees but SU gave me always error. The reason I think it's the big number of trees:

      27_apr.jpg

Then I tried with groups of crossing trees:

      Nvolo2.jpg

but it's to hard to modify this render with PS to arrive to something like this:

      MOD2.jpg

I should do 7 or 8 render.. and it's a really long work
Yes, i'm welcome in a world of pain...!!!

      Anything else?
      Thanks

    • Easy question about shadow problem

I'm finishing an exterior render but I have a problem with trees' shadow.
Even if I'm going to work with PS when the Vray render is done, I need to understand how I can get a correct shadow: setting the tree component always in "front of the camera" as you can see the shadow (when the sun is not perpendicular to the image) is slim...

      what can I do?

      thanks
