Hi all!
I have a big problem since the last 10 days. I'm completely unable to print a complete document or only one page from SU. Each time I hit the print command, SU "Crash" automaticaly. I've donwload the last SU version today but the problem is always the same.
I did not do any change in SU since many weeks (no new plugin, etc.).
Someone have the same problem?

Long time since my last post.
I'm very busy with the next Carnival preparation.
We began to built , last monday, the Quebec Winter Carnaval Ice Castle 2010 and the installation of our biggest site.
Here is two rendering made with Twilight (I like Twilight 
).

Some of you know that I work for the Quebec Winter Carnival and I use SketchUp to realise many of our projects.
Let me now present a very new Carnival project, it’s a little application for iPhone and iPod Touch.
Some of you may see some form of advertising in this, but because the application is currently free to download, I just thought I could have let you know this info, just for fun.
The possibility to be able to show and to make our event known around the world on a new platform was very important to me and we worked on it for several months with two other Quebec companies, both specialized in video games.
I therefore present you "TROMPETTE", a small, simple, funny and free application, that virtually recreates the true Carnival trumpet used by our visitors for over 50 years, for instance during our night parades.
This small application is a foretaste of a second much more elaborate application to be launched January 7, 2010 with which you can use your iPod Touch or your iPhone to build and manage, as long as possible, our night parade on a map on which some of you may recognize some of Quebec city streets and buildings.

Like I said in Twilight forum, a winter trees and shrubs pack will be very useful for me. Most of my SU projects are done for my job, the Quebec "Winter" Carnaval.
Like Alan said, for the moment I usualy use Pepe trees (very good) but it will be interesting to have more choices.
I like Bruce idea to have trees and shrub with snow on.
Put me on your list.
Probably a ventilated bicycle seat, in order to cool down your....

Assure-toi qu'il n'y a pas aucun accent dans le chemin que tu indiques pour ta sauvegarde, que ce soit dans un nom de disque, de fichiers, de folder, etc.
J'ai déjà eu un problème du genre et c'était un tout petit accent dans le nom de mon folder qui empêchait la sauvegarde.
Bruce, thank you for your comments. Indeed, in february, in evening when it snowing, the ice castle (the real) is realy magical.
Alexender, you are right. It's for the next Quebec Winter Carnaval. I'll try this week-end (if I have enough time) to do an another rendering with translucent ice. I saw on your website that you're a structural engineer in wood structure. Each year, the ice castle must be approve by a structural engineer before we begin the construction. Maybe a new branch for you (ice structure engineer). Few contracts but fun projects.
Hi Gaieus, you are right. The stone texture is not really good. To try a quick rendering with Kerkythea, I imported only the castle from my entire site SU file in a new file and added a little stone wall and some trees to complete rapidly the rendering. I'll try a new rendering with better stone texture and translucent ice.
The real castle dimensions will be approximatively 35m wide, 20m depht and 12m high and we will need approximatively 180 000 kg of ice for the construction.
I am currently working on the concept of our next Ice Castle, 2009.
After seeing the beautiful images of Fletch in the auditorium discussion "1920s High School Auditorium Renovation", including the combo image of SU and Kerkythea, I tried the same effect with the Ice Castle.
I am still very far from being a pro of SU and Kerkythea but I like the first results.

Bien honnêtement, je ne comprends pas. J'ai réalisé il y a quelques jours plusieurs personnages avec cette technique et le tout fonctionne très très bien. Peut-être devrais-tu envoyer ton fichier (le personnage seul suffirait) afin que l'on puisse y jeter un coup d'oeil.
