      Continued,

Because once you select "color by material", it's across the board for the entire model, right?

How would you change the color of some lines, while keeping the others black?

Very nice modeling. Now all you need is some dirt or some missing paint on the nice paint job.

    • RE: Re: Some Funny Pics.

      Eric,

The "trouble.jpg" reminds me of a paint fight I had with my older brother, when we were around 9, 10 years old.

My dad had a little too much confidence in us and gave us the task of painting the inside of a closet that couldn't have been more than 8 sf in size. Harmless, so he thought.

He left us alone while he went down to the basement workshop. There we were, working side by side on the same wall, as a team, when my older brother, of course, didn't cut me any slack when my brush went too far on the stroke and onto his hand. Well one thing led to another and we proceeded to exhange paint strokes on each other until we were both covered with white, oil-based paint from head to toe. Yes, our hair was brilliant white also. It was hilarious, that is until the paint started to burn our eyes. In a panic and crying, we rushed down to the basement to tell dad, and as my dad tells it, we looked like ghosts in the dark summer sky. He just about fainted.

All ended well with a nice turpentine/water bath, uh, before mom got home of course.

      Kim,

It did seem obvious, until I went to the download area, and saw that KT2007 had a 1/30/08 date in the description. That threw me off.

      Thanks

Much appreciation and thanks to all who made this possible and for sharing such a great product.

One question, is KT2007 a new release also, and is this different than KT Echo?

    • RE: Re: DXF Files and Autocad

      PeterCharles,

Here is what I found when opening the file in Notepad:

      $CECOLOR
      62
      0
      9
      $LUNITS
      70
      2
      9
      $LUPREC
      70

I'm not sure if this means my units are feet or what?

      Thanks

I meant to say Drawing Setup, not Drawing Properties.

      Kristoff,

      I appreciate your suggestions.

The other guy is opening the same .dxf file, I watched him do so. After opening the file, we go to Drawing Properties and the Units are shown as Feet on his computer, Millimeters on mine.

      Thanks again, Ben

    • Re: DXF Files and Autocad

      Hello everyone,

I'm looking or suggestions on where to look in Autocad to change how it opens .dxf files, specifically, how the drawing units are determined.

When I open a particular .dxf file, the drawing units become millimeters. When a co-worker opens the same file, it comes in as feet and inches, which is what I want.

I can eventually get the units and all object distances converted to feet/inches, but that process is not as clean. I'm running 2006.

      Thanks for your help.

    • RE: Model Info Settings

      Dylan and Remus,

      Appreciate the help.

So, are you both saying that you can't save individual settings under "Model Info" for each model or SU file? And why don't the settings "hold" while working within the same model. I can set the Model Info once, then minutes later, have to reset it. Is this just an SU bug?

    • Model Info Settings

      Hello all,

I'm using SU6. I'm having a problem with Components/Group Editing selection settings to remain as selected.

I've tried setting them, saving the drawing, then exiting the software, then opening SU. But once I edit a group or component, the settings revert back to, I guess the default setttings.

      Any suggestions?

      Thanks. Ben

Anyone have success with walking and lowering your blood pressure?

I'm not overweight, but have a slightly elevated blood pressure that I'm trying to control without medicines. I've been trying to speed walk about a mile a day for the last 2 months. I'm seeing little result in my BP, but some greater results in my pulse.

      Looking for encouragement to continue.
