Thanks for the generous model, these actual skps help a lot to a bear of little brain.

RE: SubD examples and models

Movin' on...
Hi chaps, just a heads up to my friends here at SU.
About to move from the burbs up the country to the King Valley (One hr. NE of Mansfield).
Internet will be patchy so I don't suppose I will be keeping up much.I am going to build myself a Tiny House on wheels. Very exciting, a chance to use everything I've learned about boatbuilding, furniture and design over the last 45 years. I intend the whole thing to be like a fine piece of furniture...my swansong.
Will also be off-grid about which I have only basic knowledge, so a steep learning curve coming upDesigning in SU of course, I will share progress when I get further ahead.
On that note, is there anybody familiar with Victorian, (Australia) building codes?
I need some help with the specs, particularly the roof spans and connections. Happy to pay for some advice or even perhaps an engineers sign-off?.So wishing you all a very happy Christmas.
Catch you all in a few months.

There are 2 overlapping warning windows in SU 2018. Someone to confirm?
Not with me...

RE: GPS coordinates of tree locations into SU
You could try adding the co-ords to 'Geo-location. Dont how accurate it would be tho.

RE: Where have all the Sketchers gone?
I check the forum every morning with my cup of tea. I don't post much, but I'm subscribed to quite a few topics which interest me.

Mike A. , ntxdave, Thanks gentlemen. Dave the image seeming darker might just be monitor differences. Tone looks good on my screen.
Pretty dark on my (calibrated) monitor too.

I have it installed and see the three little icons, but haven't figured out how to change the North angle in my model,
or can I with this extension / whatever it's called??
Hover over the Icons, the tooltips are self-explanatory. Remember to update your scene if you want the angle to 'stick'.

Can someone who is a member of facefaq let me know how he is, I cannot see his page as facefaq tells me I must be a member. Helpful, not.
I had a look before.
Ambulatory after 2 ops. In good spirits, giving the nurses a hard time:)
He did a live FB video, still has his sense of humour. All good it seems. -

RE: 2018 Toggle endpoints?

Shouldn't be that hard anymore, just make a bundle and auto install all at once from Sketchucation, then go to My Extensions in EW and auto install all them.
All your shortcuts should carry over from your previous setup.
Then you just need to reset your toolbars.Sitting here right now giving SU individual permissions to auto(Sic)install my bundle.
On 43 of 67 so far.
Then have to go through them and disable the ones I dont use often.
Already done the Trimble EW thing, painfully clunky.I stick to my opinion... a PITA

Toggle Endpoints is a plugin.
https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=endpointsBugger! You got me AGAIN.
But thanks.
Having to reset everything each year is a PITA -
2018 Toggle endpoints?
The shortcut item: 'Tools/Toggle Endpoints' seems to be missing.
Is this a bug, an omission or am I missing something?

RE: SketchUp 2018
I was badly disappointed when Google made SketchUp free. I understand why, but I think it seriously undermined the adoption of 3D by professionals. "What, that free program?" was the reaction I often got when trying to sell my services to clients. You still hear it even now.
So Trimble moving away for support from 'Make' doesn't defrost my Kelvinator.
As for SU2018, the release notes seem to show many improvements which will improve my experience with Su.
Release notes here:
https://help.sketchup.com/en/article/141303
This is a long list, I expect to spend at least a couple of hours checking it all out.I am frankly getting very tired of the naysayers who want bla de bla de bla ad nauseum.
Sketchup is primarily a design/drawing program. That suits me fine.
It has always from the beginning at @Last days applied the KISS principal and continues to deliver on that premise. If it doesn't suit, please use Blender or something else and stop whinging. (Course you might have to pay for it.

RE: Wish list for Sketchup 2018
I wish Layout was smart enough to know that I invariably want to save a file with the same name as the Skp.
