That's true. 2016 is just running 98% perfectly for me on Linux. 2020 has gold rating on Wine compat. layer. I have to try on my Win8 lap. how 2017 feels.

The author [JimF] has "unpublished" all of his plugins, including DrawHelix14.rb
But there are others available...
Both in the PluginStore and linked off to authors' sites...

I'm not sure what options your tablet driver offers, but with Wacom's you can use the tablet in either 'Pen' or 'Mouse' mode. I find Pen mode unusable because it's so slow: it's meant for pixel-level editing and drawing, so not suitable for mouse replacement.

If your tablet doesn't offer a mouse mode, then try boosting the speed/acceleration to max.

I tried, but I feel this tapering more difficult for 3D printing (to have thickness & solid). Nice looking as a sketch anyway. And these tools are good. Or perhaps I did not find right procedure yet?

Yes! I thought that I checked it, but I probably looked from too far away so that the dotted blue line over the sand texture looked like solid... Now when checking afterwards the dotted line really looks quite solid over sand. Thanks!

I did understand the point but I don't see how it speeds up the process he was showing. I didn't group the selection in my example and I didn't have the problem he had either.

I also understand Box's point. Different strokes.

It's a nice video! I have seen it before. The new thing on my video is that the worm drive is curved or enveloping around the wheel.

This came out from involute gear plug-in profile (60 Tooth). Thanks CAUL! I hope that I can soon proceed to a 3D printed piece & real world test.
