RE: Fuel & Fire Comic Pages WIP
hi, i hope u dont mind, i had a go at a quick brush/smudge in photoshop to one of your images, its a very quick technique that u could use i found that combining with the su rending works well

A bit of SU/photoshopping
Hi, i've been lurking a bit these past couple of months trying to get into my uni work... ive attached an image i did using sketchup to model components like the roots. All are straight off SU with minor style adjusting....
its quite an arty piece for uni- (it seems stupid after being on placement) which i hate but i guess thats the crap u have to go through to be an architect.
anyway enjoy...

RE: What do you or the firm you work for specialize in?
Im just on placement for the summer, but its been good experience and helps a lot with uni work, the place that i work at specialises in listed building works and schools with the odd bit of residential (pendant on age) hopefully i can get into more standard residential architecture and detailing as this will most likely be the outcome for me

RE: Handy models
I think you should give up any career in Sketchup and become a full time pun master.... the punnage displayed in your posts are admirable
jokes aside.... good work u get a thumbs up (hahaha)

RE: Old project
errrm must have been a couple of long days work (maybe 30-40 hours) including rendering etc...
i kinda cheated with the design because its symmetrical so i just made a component, flipped and editted -
RE: Old project
thanks for the comments, yeah it was on the old forum, the Su images help to understand the context a bit better, i wish i had know about the segmenting curves prior to the modelling- would have looked a lot nicer!

Old project
i hadn't posted any work up on here for a while s i thought id put some old work from uni
its a train station platform bridge with attached cafΓ©/gallery space

RE: Farm on winter :)
hi, how did you do the background (to make it look like snow flakes/drops were falling)? ive always wanted to add things like fireflies to jazz up some night shots but havent been able to find an efficient way to do it
-
RE: Just for fun
thats sweet!
many questions though....
Was it all modelled in sketchup??
how long did it take (modelling/render/pp- if u did any)?
what font did u use its really cool like the one from heroes!
anyway well done on producing such an exciting image

Bench platform thing
This was ment for the catchup component thingy but i missed the boat on that one.... not quite sure what it is, maybe a fancy place to put a bench with some sails (!?!). Its narked me off a lot about how i cant get it to look realistic but then i guess it gives me reason to call it 'stylised' Anyway here is the Su model, original render and the final photomontage of it hope u like....

Attempt at photomontage
hi, here is an installation for one of my student projects, modelled in SU and rendered in Artlantis, still havent really got to grips with it and have been having trouble finding people/ backgrounds of a good quality (the background is several images put together). Has anyone got any advise?
