If I wanted super pro now then I would be looking at other products. Trimble aren't going to make the major changes you are looking for any time soon. They are well placed in the market without risking competition from more adept or specialised software by raising their price.

As an alternative to creating a grid with lines or rectangles you can also quickly Draw>Sandbox>From Scratch. As this forms a simple group it can be scaled for asymmetric grids and faces deleted if necessary.

Isn't this close to a perpetual motion engine? I can appreciate how thermal mass works but to store enough energy for months, well that seems like a tall order. Nearest thing I can equate to it might be underground water storage tanks but even then average ground temperature is still only ~12 degrees so long term cooling would play its part.

I would love it to work but I'm not holding my breath, although some might wish that I would.

Obviously I'm wasting my time testing the demo.

Had a play tonight. Just some thoughts:

1. I still maintain creating two scenes is unnecessary. If there are a lot of plans and sections then the screen soon becomes cluttered with tabs. It is easy and less confusing to click on the projecting scene and then "Display Section Planes" for editing.

2. I know why you create a Style for each section but allowing selection from [user] styles generated within SU may be easier to manage. I usually only have one or two cut styles and I note you have two for each section e.g. #001 AND #001P

3. There should be the option to use SU's default material rather than the default created by Rich Section

4. I'm not a fan of raster hatches, but they are easy enough to Purge. I don't know what other's feel but some may prefer to load them as an option?

5. Would an additional layer "__Profiles" which had just the outlines of the RS cut be possible so that they remain visible when turning off individual entity layers?

I was about to check the models TIG worked with and got the same EXPIRED DEMO message.

Issue A: Head down & get on with it. No easy fix. Some things will "stick" others will have to be repositioned when you rescale.

Issue B: I think/hope this is on the wish list. "Print current page" to a PDF renderer is possibly your best option but I prefer to use "Export to PDF".

My missing faces were in repeated components and should have formed a 50 x 100mm face in a rectangular box, so size wasn't the issue. The final solution in that case was to delete the failing group and create a fresh box. TIG spent time updating his plug using some of my models but I can still get face errors with abutting groups for no obvious reason. If you and TIG are both seeing this then you may need to get Trimble to look at the API.

Missing faces also happens with TIG's Section Cut Face. He has done a lot of checks on it but there can still be situations in a model where a face can be missing without reason.

As Dave said in 2. but you can change the scene to vector and explode it into LO entities.

Customise your tool bar. You can add super and sub buttons directly.

Not really. Raster hatching comes with scaling / dpi issues.

The offset was just a suggestion as I thought it might be easy to add unlike shape patterns which I can see will be a BIG challenge.

Development suggestion.. Crosshatching allows the creation of some interesting parallel line patterns by applying the same angle with different spacing values, but there is no way to do a simple parallel offset using the same spacing. Could you add an offset parameter in the crosshatch window to allow the creation of one of the more common basic hatch patterns like this // // // ?

Last night my first section entry [XL01] was replaced with [XL0001] today everything seems ok I may have used "undo" and messed things up.

There is a lot going on when creating an RS, can I do a complete undo with 1 click?

Why create two scenes? I appreciate they are different but do you really need two when the change is simply a toggle of the section plane?

RICHSECTION NAME is strange when using custom names e.g. the resulting names aren't as expected

It might be useful to have a simple continuous line in the Projection line styles.
