one thing jumps right at me, i see a site plan, a bunch of staircases, but not a single ramp for a wheelchair. I am sorry, maybe i am missing something?

      That's NEVER a Sad thing.

I never intended it in such a way. I am myself an immigrant, and came to USA from Ukraine. No insult intended, and I apologize if it sounded rude in any way.

The only reason I said that is because drawings on a website look very simple, it actually surprised me they are looking for someone with "skills". There is nothing out of ordinary. So it seems like a simple job, and i would not mind doing it. But "owner" seems to be very specific about location πŸ˜‰

    • RE: Vista AVI wont work? NOT ANY MORE!

There is also a K-Lite Codec Pack, contains a lot of codecs and comes in different versions from light to megapack.
The only thing is I understand using it if you need to decode video, but if you only interested in playback, then installing 200 codecs is not a very healthy solution πŸ˜‰ I used to do it until I discovered such players as GOM and VLC. (There are a couple more of similar players if anyone interested.) Both come with a build in codecs for all major movies, both work with DVD. Clean install and uninstall. GOM can also redirect you to a needed codec in case you did come across of something unusual.
Also updating is easier, when you deal with codec sometimes thay start leaving traces on a pc, and conflicts between each other.
Well, just thought I will share πŸ˜‰

    • RE: Got a project wonder if its possible to make a 3D skin?

ahhh unfolding, did a lot of it, when was building architectural models.
I am not sure if i will be able to help with this. I do remember there was a free ruby plugin that would assist you with unfolding. It was far from perfect but helped.
I did see some amazing staff here http://waybe.weebly.com/ but i never used it myself.
When i had to unfold something I used Pepakura (http://www.tamasoft.co.jp/pepakura-en/) worked great back then πŸ˜‰

These are more or less automated methods, but if there are not too many faces you can always do it manually.

here is two simple examples, they were both done in under a minute, so they still would require a lot more refinement, and possible some additional section.

      1. simply selecting sections and using "From Contours" form sandbox tools.
      2. I used weld ruby to join lines and arcs in your sections into polylines, and then used Skin ruby. A few clicks again, nothing fancy.

Obviously it is far from final but it could get you started.

    • RE: Soap Skin & Bubble Bugsplat [resolved]

this was an error on my part. I recently switched from Windows explorer, to XYplorer. When I was extracting zip archive with native windows zip into XYplorer for some reason files get corrupted. I noticed it later when i unpacked a few photos. A simple switch to 7zip, fixed the problem.
It just i was very surprised to see such an error, it always worked before, and from website it was clear that the only thing that was updated was time limit. So essentially it was same script. Just had no idea it was mt recent switch to XYplorer.
