two more...

since you guys were so nice to me I made 3 more
Two water surfaces and sand. Maybe not as usuful but hey they are FREE

yes... i need to do it.... got lazy when i was posting
will do it right now
Was playing around and created a couple of seamless textures, decided to post it here, maybe someone will find them useful

an oval dome can be created by using scale tool on a round dome. Columns seem to be strait forward. Bu it hard to tell all of your intentions just a sketch.
If you like you can brake down your model into parts, and do a little sketch of every part, I would be more then happy to assist you. Even do a couple of tutorials.
do not know how to view your project.... thats very unusual way to share something...
i got inspired and did a vray tests, looks great.
Thank you for your inspiration, great work
Looking at geometry, i think you could try reducing some curves to a lower segment value when you create geometry.
very nice looking video. It could benefit from more frames. I always wanted to make one of those roller coaster videos but never got around to it. I was hoping to see a big sudden drop
Thank you for sharing.
i have tried it before when it was early beta, and honestly did no see a single thing that would make it better then sketchup at that point. Would be curious, what they did now
now that you mentioned it I don't think i seen one.
I made one 3d wallpaper with sketchup... but not the logo.
Interesting
I would have to agree with Chris Fullmer. It sounds like a video card problem. If you have ATI or nVidia, you could try http://www.omegadrivers.net/
These drivers intended for gaming but i had a lot of luck with them in Sketchup.
v-ray does a great job
I did a project where I overplayed rendered image with line work from sketchup
finally got to my old models... testing again...
overdid depth effect

I did followed that thread for some time. I do agree with you 100% that price is defiantly overwhelming. I still feel like vray for sketch up can run circles around this application. Even artlantis seems like a much more reasonable application spatially if you takin into account the price.
I honestly not sure what developers hope for asking such a price for application that does not even have full animation support... at least i did not find it yet. Still practicing.
Lucky in my case it came to me as a reward. I would not choose it if it had to come out of my budget. So for now i am just playing.
Some interesting results... when i render something at a low resolution things seem to be lightning fast... but as soon as resolution goes up (lets say 4000x2000) things stop to a crawl. I know i should expect to wait longer hehe but surprisingly i can do same resolution on vray in less time.
It is probably just my lack of experience in this soft. Time will show
Just got my hands on Hypershot rendering software. So far very impressed with the speed. It seems to lack some of the setup flexibility i have in v-ray but great one click render software. Wanted to run it truth some test and see how it performs, sadly right now i am away from my main computer where all my models stored. Did some test renders on models from 3d warehouse. Decided to ask if anyone has an interesting outdoors scene they would like donate for the test
I could post rendering here, as soon as its done. Or at least point me to a good model on 3d warehouse (if you happen to know one) Definitely not going to keep result for myself. So please do not think i am hunting for a portfolio projects. Just something fun to run truth software.
Thank you
stinkie, could you post your settings?
would love to see how you did it.
thank you
