It's not the first time I've had this problem.
I had to change something else, rescaled, and that worked now (this has also happened several times that it worked on another try), but now the slicer is whining (see screenshot).
What could be meant by "non manfold edges"? How can I correct this in SU?
As I said, it's not the first time this has happened.
What could be the reason?
What do you mean by "scale the definition of the object before exporting"?

A scaled down object still has the original length
Hello,
I have reduced an object of 500mm length to 50mm in order to 3d print it, but when I load it into the slicer it is still 500mm long.
What am I doing wrong?Kind regards

A mouse pointer symbol other than the tool selected
Hello,
how is it possible that I select the angle tool, which is also active, but the mouse pointer has the Pull/Push symbol?

RE: How to determine in which font a text was written
Thank you for the offer!
I have since realised that I did not create the text in question in SU, but in Estlcam, the program in which I load the dxf and define the milling paths, and which is just as inflexible as far as this question is concerned, and have been able to identify the font in the long list: Monotype.
But, since I sometimes create it directly in SU, the question still arises. I will install this extension. If I don't get along, I will post the skp.
With kind regards

RE: Draw an octagon an a Swiss keyboard
Thank you!
The method with the polygone tool works, that with the circle doesn't. I may change the number of segments from 24 to 8, but nevertheless the circle is drawn with 24 segments.
I have always the instruction in the bar beneath to press Option and + to change the number of segments. -

How to determine in which font a text was written
Hello,
I have a text that I need to correct, but I no longer know which font it was written in. Is this information available in SU? I don't find it anywhere.
I have tried all the fonts available in SU, but it is none of those and I don't understand how I could have written it in a non present font!
Kind regards

RE: Import an image - export it to .dxf
Thank you.
SU may not import an .svg file! -
Import an image - export it to .dxf
Hi,
How do I have to edit an image that I import into SU so that I can output it as a .dxf?
I have managed to do this a few times, but I don't really remember exactly what I did. Often the .dxf was empty.
Which options do I have to select for the .dxf export?
Is there perhaps a tutorial on this topic?Kind regards

What do you mean by your mysterious message?

SK crashes every time an angle of 167.6° is rounded off
Hello,
I assume Sketchup can't round off such a big angle, or what else could be the reason? With kind regards

RE: Turning an image into GCode
Hi,
Thank you for your response!
I meant 2d milling (not printing, even if the code is similar); the file that I open in Estlcam has to be a .dxf, for 3d it has indeed to be an .stl file. -
Turning an image into GCode
Hello,
how can I import an image (jpg, png, tiff...) into Sketchup, edit it and export it as a 2d graphic (.dxf) so that it can be converted into GCode in a CAM program (Estlcam).
All my attempts result in an empty file for Estlcam.
I have done this successfully in the past, but I can't remember how.
With kind regards

RE: Make unique
I have just notified that by myself and was to late to delete the thread (if possible).
SorryWhat misled me about this is that there is the option Make unique in the contextual menu, even though it is a single item, from which I concluded that there was some problem.
