You can purchase a copy via PayPal - or you can use PayPal to pay with regular credit or debit card. When you make a purchase you will automatically get a user account where you can download Vertex Tools.

Thanks ThomThom! You're a (SU) Saint!
BTW, bought, DL'd Rbz, working with it in seconds. And not having used it before it is so natural. Feels deep, but should be straight forward to learn.
I want to try it on creating / manipulating grading models(terrain). Perhaps?

PS I don't think your cookie links work well for finding the list of plugins, though I know full well how to find them myself... I just get a search on "plugin"

ah ok, a debit card is an italian "carta prepagata" not "bancomat".. the one i use everyday to the cash machine is a mere "bancomat".. my debit card expired because i didn't use it for a while..
too bad i have to wait till monday to go to the post office and create a new one.. -

You don't get a list of all my plugins at SCF when you click the link? Screenshot?

Oh, I think I see how it works. Yes.I see them. Sorry.

Hi ThomThom, I thank you for this new tool it appears to be great. I just purchased a copy of it on paypal and was starting to play with the tools to get the feel for it. I have immediately noticed an issue though, and it may be my own fault but even with the Lock UV Mapping enabled when I am adjusting the vertexes up and down the Z axis the UV's are being pretty badly changed. Here is an image of what I am seeing.
I have verified that the Lock UV is enabled so I am at a bit of a loss for why this occurs. Now that I look at it again I wonder, should I have triangulated the quads before I did the vertex move? (just checked they were already triangulated)

This is peculiar - can you send me the model as a sample?

Strangely enough, I started up a new file again and did the same thing, new topo from scratch, then grabbed the vertexes with a falloff and pulled them with the gizmo. This time they were not getting majorly changed like they were last time but I did start getting a weird change in texture directions on one piece which I'll link here.

Hi everyone,
Gizmo use questions:
In moving the gizmo is there a way to do a snap move in reference to the gizmo center (as in the regular VT move tool) or is numerical input the only way to fine tune it?
Is there a way to soft rotate points to only one side of the pivot point?
Thanks, enjoying the tool.
Peter

No snapping with the Gizmo - only length snapping according to the Model Info units.
I don't see how it would work, because move works only in the direction of the axis you use - how would you expect it to snap to anything?@pbacot said:

? sorry but I cant visualize what you are asking for here.

Do you have the original file - I was hoping to see if I could reproduce it.

Never mind - I could use the file after all. And I see the problem. For some reason it keeps the UV mapping correctly for the front side - but not the back side. I'm investigating.
Thank you for the report! -
No wait! It's the front side....
-
This is odd - I exploded the group and found that all the texture re-oriented. There seem to be something about textures and groups/component when they haven't been positioned - just applied. Intriguing!
-
Bad news - this appear to be a SketchUp bug. Or API limitation. I'd say it's a bug because even SketchUp mess up the UV when you explode the group.
When I read the UVs I get from SketchUp and reapply them immediately the texture change direction (where as you'd expect it to remain the same). What's worse - due to API limitation I cannot work around it because it is impossible for me to know if a texture is simply applied or positioned. (Because positioned textures works fine.)
I'll have to consult with the SketchUp developers on this.

OK I see what this tool is for. It's NOT what I bought SU for... but this is a SU image. I just added some mist in pixlr editor. (Needs more foam, I know)
I jest. I have been using it for all sorts of work.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!
A "must have" plugin.
