Once I got that system polished I plan to add it to VT 1.1 along with some other improvements.

You've been so prolifically busy lately: have you had a chance to work on this?

      i7-4930K 3.4Ghz, 2x GTX780 6GB, 32GB DDR3-1600 ECC, OCZ Vertex 4 500GB, WD Black 3TB, 32TB NAS, 4x 27" Monitors, SpaceMouse Pro, X-keys XK-60

I got a batch with updates for my other plugins lined up that will be released soon. Then focus will turn towards Vertex Tools. (the work on the other plugins benefits Vertex Tools, but indirectly.)

You should get an email shortly with your login detail on TT's site (register with the same email address you have paid with). Then there is a download link.

Yes - that is in fact on my todo list for a future release. πŸ˜„

I'm modelling it after how 3D Studio do soft selection. From what I can tell it is a bezier curve controlled by two paramters, Pinch and Bubble.

Another awesome tool thomthom. I'll post some examples when I've finished my current WIP.

wrt soft selection, would it be possible to incorporate a negative radius? that would soften the vertices only by the vertices selected rather than a soften by vertices surrounding the current selection? I ask this because there are certain vertices on the edges of my mesh that I don't want to move, but its hard to get a good soft sine wave from a selection that doesn't affect some of the vertices on this edge.

                  thanks again.

                  -niall

                    Very good idea.
(A wee technical challenge of doing this, but I do like the idea! I'll add it to the list of experiments) πŸ‘ πŸ‘

No - it uses the OS default HTML render engine, which means IE on windows and WebKit on OSX. Many applications makes use of the IE render engine (note - not the browser itself, just it's core) so it's always worth keeping IE up to date, even if you don't use it as your browser.

okiedokie. I generally do that even though ie is just my emergency backup browser and rarely gets opened. I think I declined the beta version update but I know I had 8 on here.
<--is having way too much fun playing with her shiny new plugin.. getting nothing done

Can you explain what you mean by this? "Delete non-destructive" - it's an oxymoron - how can you delete something without being destructive?

Oh, could it be, erase vertices between co-linear edges, without erasing the edges? If so, that is a feature in the upcoming version 1.1.

When you do, please post back some examples. I'd love to see some.
In the upcoming releases, not just v1.1, I got plans to make it easier and quicker to control the vertices. In addition to soft selection where the falloff is controlled by bezier curve - like 3ds max.
