phantastic plugin Wikii! thanks for sharing 😍

however, when I use a welded curve, I get very unexpected results. something doesn't seem to be working with welded paths. everything works fine if I use a bezier curve (no matter how complicated)

      http://img205.imageshack.us/img205/3448/far01kh7.jpg

and I have a suggestion for a future update:
if you have a face with it's midpoint not at the starting point of the curve, the cuve will be moved to this centre point.
would it be possible to prevent this from happening, so that you can use a shape with an offset, that is twisted arround the path with a certain distance.
or even better, could you change the script to allow the use of several seperate faces?

Any chance of making this available as a .zip file? I have problems with files with .rar extensions.

Try to select one curve , one face and one construction point , then , using FAR. The construction point will be treated as the center of the face.

weird. it only works for me, if I have a curve as a path. it doesn't work with a straight line like in your example (not even the dialog box for rotation/scale input appears)...

but arround a curve it looks really cool! πŸ˜„

hey wow awsome plugin, thanx for posting, is there any way to reverse the triangulation of the faces, i noticed that once smoothed the and as you rotate the form it gets very jaggy at the edges and you have to go in there with the flip edge tool to smooth it out... any way around this within the coding?

Could It be because I am using a 64 bit system,

                                  Thanks,

or it conflicts with another plugin.
You can test this by removing your plugins one by one and constntly restarting SU after each. A little tedious if you have a lot.

I am having difficulties running this script. Inside the latest Far.rar I find:

                                        inputbox.rb -- for the interface
FollowAndRotate_en.rbs -- the English version of the script
FollowAndRotate_cn.rbs -- the Chinese version of the script
                                        far.skp -- example output

I extract inputbox.rb and FollowAndRorate_en.rbs in the Sketchup Plugins folder and execute sketchup.exe. Going to the Plugins menu there is nothing to be found...

In the Ruby console, I type "load 'FollowAndRotate_en.rbs'" and get this:
