[Plugin] Purge All
-
If you have permissions to add files to your Plugins folder...
Properties > Security > Edit... FULL for all listed...
And you have indeed installed it properly...
When you restart SketchUp the tool should now appear appear in the Plugins menu - there is no 'button' unless you have a 'doctored' version that adds a toolbar...If you have v2013 why not use the Preferences > Extensions > Install... button to install any RBZ format plugin downloaded from the SketchUcation PluginStore...

Or why not get/use the SketchUcation Plugin Store toolset and then you can AutoInstall plugins from within SketchUp automatically.

Now there's no need to mess on manually installing plugins - provided that you have FULL permission to the Plugins folder

There's a new version available from the PluginStore.
It contains some 'future-proofing'.
The log-report format is also improved.
It is now ready for the next generation of SketchUcationTools etc...

There's a storm a brewin'

Suggestion: to really purge a file to its bare minimum, maybe add an option to remove attributes (set by some plugins), ifc info etc?
-
I was thinking about offering to delete the IFC stuff as that can bloat a file and slow it down.
However some other 'attributes' do add usefulness - like DCs... - which should endure - how do we decide what to keep ? -

Good point. Maybe make a combo box with several options for cleaning the attributes: remove all, preserve @ components, ...

No need to make the plugin more complex. Just make a keyboard shortcut for it.

Here's v3.0
https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=PurgeAll
It's now signed for full compatibility with all current SketchUp versions, in all extension-loading-policies.
It also has the annoying display glitch fixed - where the report's formatting for materials tabbed over to the right too much ! -
Thanks TIG

Here's v4.0
https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=PurgeAll
It's now made fully compatible with v2020 - replacing 'Layers' with 'Tags' when prompting/reporting... -
Thank you sir.

Here's v5.0
https://sketchucation.com/pluginstore?pln=PurgeAll
It fixes the sometimes confusing reporting of groups getting included in the end components list [groups are component-definitions, but they are never purge-able].
It also address the log-file not opening on MAC's using newer versions of SketchUp... -
@TIG Could it be non-modal please - what exactly is the point of hitting OK?
-
@rv1974
It can't be non-modal because it uses the UI.inputbox which is always modal.
Thre has to be a way of closing the window - in this case it's OK or Cancel...
