Does Thea not import FBX?
-
Doesn't look like it - unless you know something I don't
-
Well, if Ioannis can add .fbx import then there'll be a forest on the forums in no time
-
I have never tried, I'll mention it on beta forum, hopefully we can get something organised.
-
For a second there I thought that you were talking from experience and that FBX import was a new feature of the next Thea build.
-
SimLab have an FBX importer for Sketchup - but at $99... http://www.simlab-soft.com/3d-plugins/FBX_Importer_For_Sketchup-main.aspx
OR you could download one of AutoDesk's free FBX converters [various versions and OS's]
http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/pc/item?siteID=123112&id=10775920
http://images.autodesk.com/adsk/files/fbx_converter_2012.pdf
to convert it into a format that you can use... 3ds, dxf, obj, dae... -
-
Oh, good news.
-
That'll definitely make life easier
-
I've been playing with TreeSketch 2.0 and it's really amazing. Too bad the output is in .fbx and, apparently, the leaves do not have any geometry.
Still: Great fun! -
Have you tried using the Autodesk FBX converter TIG suggested?
