Rich, those look like what I'm looking for! I'll take a look through them.
John, knowing your beautiful textures, I would love to see what you have. But only if it's not too much trouble. Don't spend much time on it. I don't need it to be washed out as in the photo, just a light shade.
I tell you my opinion. I have no doubt that you have talent. But I see only a few models that you can sell. The rest is very primitive. You have to make an impression with your models. π
It may be rammed earth, but that earth must have been mixed with a little portland cement, which is common. I just assume this from the color in the image. But you could shine a blue tinted light at something and get the same effect in a photograph, couldn't you?
@Pete
I was afraid that was going to be the answer π
I still haven't gotten the knack of creating "grunged" metals and paint in Thea's Material Editor.
@Gaieus
Interesting: I'll take a closer look at this. Thank you.
It looks like I'll stick with instancing vegetation models and using Pete's metal materials in Thea.
@simon
The tutorial is just way out of my league. I have Genetica, but never learned how to use it properly. The tutorial program appears to be even more "professional".
Sorry, I coulda googled that. Very interesting. I went to Pinang near there but didn't make it to Sumatra. (One of my favorite coffees though!). Don't travel so much lately myself. Have to stay put and try to make a living.
