I use version 21. Thank you for the solutions. All that's left to do is adjust the left side extension line's end point to provide a gap.

Welcome to the forum DaniVork. I doubt if the Layout dimension tool could be made to recognise different dimensioning end points. However, you can set up as many dimension styles as you need within the same Layout file. Use a dummy dimension on the page and sample it with the eye-dropper tool before adding a new dimension. Or, use the eye-dropper to update an existing dimension. Ideally, save your dimension in a Scrapbook to use in future work. The Layout dimension system is very customisable, you could, for example have the astrix you like on just one end of the dimension line. Good luck!

Thanks juju, Foxit looks promising. We're trying it out now. In all our web searches it never came up. And thanks pbcot. That's a great tip for importing PDFs to scale. I actually really like LO. If only it were faster!

Good point on flipped or mirrored text. We have come to expect computers software to help with more mundane tasks, such as cleaning up text, not work against us.

+1 I know is more than a year of this FR, but the behavior still the same. I only work with straight leader lines with/without elbow. With elbow the text is on the top, with no elbow (straight line) the text is on the middle with no option to fix the align on text window. The workaround is to make 2 straight lines to behave like a leader line with elbow.

Layout needs to speed up! It is so laggy and sluggish (Core I7 3.5ghz/GTX 1080).

I've asked for this before too. It would be key. There's a huge gap between what happens in SU and LO. It will get better over time I guess, but...
