I wish text to image did not exist but there is no doubt but grudgingly these images are very impressive. I feel the skills a lot of us have devoted our skills to learning how to model and render are almost redundant. But that felling will be felt by many. Doctors, lawyers, musicians and admin etc Jus saying. What others feel about AI

@box What you posted insults me. It's against my believes, my religion. It also violates the rules of this forum, or any other forum. I'll report it to moderators. Right now.

Yes, good times. Amazingly, it seems that past versions of SU have been archived and are still downloadable. link That'll please someone I know who is still on V6 anyway.

Although not of the same caliber or this guy's art, before LayOut I did all my designing, plan presentation and even elevations with MS WORD, every single line! Even the little isometric view on the bottom of the Balmoral page! I'm surprised nobody has suggested a pen tablet. I used to suffer from RSI and found that by using the mouse (for scrolling mainly) with the left hand and the pen and (Wacom) tablet with the right hand the problem went away. The pen is sooo easy and natural to use. David

@tig said: I worked with Tasmania Uni on 'SuperSlob'. It creates CNC cut interlocking ply panels for buildings, exhibition-stands, furniture etc in SUp... I did the SUp Ruby panel-maker, detailer and CNC stuff... @krisidious said: The raise in price didn't come in @ 8 Pro? I thought it did. I only know the Euro-prices, but if i remember correctly, the price has been increased 2 times since Trimble bought it (at least the Euro-price) last year from 319€ to 332,80€ and now to 398€ + 77€/year = 475€ ...+48,9%!!! and if you compare it with the previous update cycle of maybe two years it is even 77€ more = 552€ which is 73% more than before!!!

Amazing. I love it. Thank you Pilou, always excellent posts! Under "Le fantôme de la liberté" (Bunuel's 1974 film) everything is possible.

@tomasz said: The question was: is the community mature enough to start a "kicksrater" for a new architectural modeling/drafting software? How much would it cost to get an initial version? There was Octree architectural modeler ... . Hi tomasz , maybe we will reach a day when we will become independent from Companies but as it seems , and you are right , few people here want to hear about it yet Time to Time It must be ? a question of patience and resistence to prove that it is the future path to follow if things keep turning as they do now get a drink Cheers

I've not had much contact with ATT in the past, but we had the exact same thing a few years ago where U-Verse was installed locally, so we upgraded. It was cheaper than my old DSL and significantly faster. Its not true fiber optics - at least not here. Its fiber optics to their switching station or whatever its called, then its like DSL to the house or something. So it is not nearly as fast as unthrottled fiber optics. Its more like a great DSL connection. Its not even as fast as cable. But it is 1/2 the price of cable, and I hate cable a lot. Anyhow, we've been using it for a few years here and we've enjoyed it. hmmm looks like a hill to me. In the comments one response was: "This is just another case of white man greed" I bet the opposition to the project could be paid enough to change their opinion....no matter what their race was.
