well I have been working on the door for 3 days ( I know how that silly that may sounds) on the door model I thought it would not be an easy model to do but i have considered putting an end to it on a number of occasions. Now through me own fault I have mixed up my models accidently so the windows now are the wrong size. Thank god for intersect pages[image: 1739336763284-iface.png]
Haha! I checked the 3DW to see if anyone had done it, but never thought to check FormFonts. Looks like my memory is going too, as I apparently QA'd it.
Was curious to see if there was caustics on the
shadow side, so i moved the light to the side
and found some behind the apple and on the base
of the metal.

Thanks.
I always try to make the exterior exposure bigger for a more photorealistic look. It also helps to merge the interior and the exterior togeather more naturally.
Your renders improved a lot!
I don't know how your render engine works, but see if you can get the sun shadows to get a little softer. Seems to me that they are too hard/sharp right now.
There are experiments however...

If I had one of those I'd hang it on the ceiling. I couldn't see myself letting a kid use it. Great model and well rendered. Please let us more about the process involved?
As far as I was able to explain ... I do not know. I think this is all clear.

For mac users, not advanced users I mean, here, its very fast no cuda though. Multiple UVs work fine in this one.

broomstick.. you're giving me too much credit. i did this in pshop... but that is actually a great idea
An idea that I tried as soon as I saw your renders... to no avail: fog only works "upwards" it seems, and I was not able to replicate the effect you made there. I realized after writing my comment that it was photoshop...
Nice images tho, very professional.
Sometimes a nice model with clean lines and good colors is enough to convey one's idea

Thanks, the raw render output is below, the Ivy was just one leaf made into a component, moved, scaled ect. Not perfect but better than PS, all the plants-trees are PS.
John
Ah, excellent! Thanks for the info.
Hi Pete and Crankston,
Thanks for your kind comments. Yes, it is often the case that you think the build should be relatively easy. The difficulties will only be visible later because you have considered but not all.

Thanks all, the last image was a bit of an afterthought after so much tweaking with the render. I used a great little piece of software http://www.hdrsoft.com/download/win.html , it's for hdri but you can use 1 image or adjust the exposure in PS first for 3 or 5 bracketed images.
Thanks John
great start, yamh.
I really like the wallpainting!
You might want to try a displacement map on the rug if your renderer allows it... which one are you using?
And maybe either show a little less of the white floor, or add a bit of interest with a different texture
