@L-i-am Don’t be discouraged. Started mine today. It’s quite the challenge. Hard to make out all the details in places. Think it’s going to take me a while.

@bryan k said: I did a 3 floor 20 x 20 that was one of my first postings here, but this design looks far more interesting than mine. Would love to see a finished exterior artist rendering or photo rendering in the future. Thank you very much. Serrot

Just to clarify: The scene with the wood flooring is the one more harmonious to me. I am unable to comment on lighting, other than to say that one has more subdued lighting, conveying one mood, and the other somewhat brighter, more distributed. Keep up the good work.

The female figure should be casting some kind of shadow, it would seem, so that she does not appear to be floating.

TR2 The Film you added to the scene is a small format film 4:3, the Rolleiflex is a middle format camera, using 6cm : 6cm square film on a simmple roll without cartridge.

@pbacot said: Wow. Great! Question on technique. Are these all done in the one file or are the building components from other files? Is it a large file or slow to work with? Each city block is a component, the city is like one giant puzzle. The file is getting pretty large but because each block is a component Staunton still runs pretty smoothly. I don't design the blocks in Staunton since it would be considerably slower than making it in a new file and simply pasting it over. In older versions of Staunton, where I hadn't made each block a component, it took ages just to move around the city. Not much new to show just a couple new filler buildings here and there, I did manage to bust out a couple renders: The downtown waterfront on a crisp early morning. [image: 11071234556_b1bc1bb107_h.jpg] Kent Plaza, surrounded by some of downtown's most prestigious office space. [image: 11071288753_31b1734421_h.jpg] Looking south from Ganton with the STA Bus Terminal, Union Station, and the STA Transportation Center in the foreground. The land left of downtown will be home to a low-rise neighborhood. [image: 11071128175_aa6d7d90b3_h.jpg] The Staunton Bridge is back! [image: 11071221146_418439cd5c_h.jpg] The sun sets on Staunton's former tallest building, The Gloucester Building. [image: 11071241536_c8b529ab3a_h.jpg] The Jefferson Bridge is back also, here you can see the land where Fort Staunton park will be going, Staunton's finally going to get the big waterfront park it deserves, goodnight Staunton! @bryan k said: I love the design, (very cool) but the render seems a little "flat." Or is it a render? if so, what render program did you use? Or is it straight SketchUp? But I'm certainly not the master of rendering around here. Thx for comment. It is a rendered output. I use Vray 2.0 for that. (i m also a beginner in rendering with vray in sketchup). You hav any technique/knowledge want to share?

@bryan k said: Very cool design. I also love the sketchy style. Is that a preset style or is it custom? And where did you get the trees? Those are perfect for the style. Thank you, the style is just basic Sketchup and I got the trees from the 3D warehouse but they were round so I altered the color shape and transparency.
