@omikron said: Really impressive work and amazing attention to details. I guess you visited the place to get the real feeling of that architecture. If not, you really got it right out of the box! thanks a lot omiKron for your kind comment! My only visit to the place took place 15 years ago, but I still remember the lighting feeling... the making-of-Oculus was recently published at SketchUpArtists if you guys would like to take a look here: http://www.sketchupartists.org/tutorials/sketchup-and-maxwell/the-making-of-oculus/ best V

Looks good ! Billboards are a little pain because they have built in lighting and shadows i tried to match that lighting in my image. I think it'd help you to have the sun behind the camera on the left.

Man, If there is any film studio looking for the development of an older english village YOU ARE DA MAN! I actually like the repeat in the texture, it looks like the stone was sourced from different quarries or available sources which could well be the case.

Nice work on the workspace mate! My 2 cents though is the left end cabinet looks like it wants to go to the floor.

Yes that one looks cool. I was thinking on getting the Triumph Scrambler myself... But that does look like the Thruxton and I like it. Though the offroad possibilities on the Scrambler and the different driving position are what pleases me the most... I like the dirt tires... But we ARE sidetracking please forget about this detour and feel free to keep on topic.

Maybe like: ....then Looks doable to me I didn't say it's impossible. But such structures involves huge costs and the structural engineer might go mad

I remember spending a lot of time trying to make Star Wars ships when I was about 14, and sketchup was still just a hobby... I distinctly remember trying my hand at a light freighter from the extended universe. I was parsecs away from these, and I doubt I could make something this good even now, but who knows, maybe you'll inspire me to have another go

Thanks Olishea. I always try to "draw over" when i can for things like foreground lamp posts, etc, as i did in the image posted at top (the outdoor seating area is new) but no matter what it seems you are correct... the better final product will always need to be rendered and comp'd in PS to get things just right. Excellent masking tutorial link, btw. thanks for sharing.
