    Hi Ritesh, As for the sunshine in your workflow; in SU you can adjust the sun easily to your needs in real time and see how the shadows "come in" through the window. Now when using su2kt exporter, the scene should preserve your light settings and keep it at that time of the day (you may need to adjust the location though in the sun and sky setup in KT). In this case I'd make sure to turn soft shadows on in KT to achieve a nicer effect. As for bumps and all like that, I think you'll find more answers at the KT Forums where they specifically discuss such things. Anyway, when you have a decent bump map, you can apply it in the image slot of the bump map in the material editor (top right corner). This will however need some experimenting and there are not too many good materials that come with good bump maps so sooner or later you will need to go into some PS-ing as well (or something similar).

    Hi Nick, This is indees a nice render, but like remus already have pointed out, the lightning could use some "love"... I suggest that you try converting the spotlights to IES lights... If you don't know the process for this, please check out the Converting spot to IES lights thread... The process may seem a bit intricate, but once you've tried it a couple of times, it's really not that difficult... The lights in the bathroom scenes I've rendered in the rendered bathrooms thread are all IES lights...

    Prefer #2 as well, but I think each picture should have been done straight on and at an angle so a more fair judgement could be made.

    Anssi, That's a good remark. Actually PR renderings aren't always the best solution to present pre-design imho. Sometimes it focuses too much on things (materials) that weren't yet decided on or weren't thought through. Often it is better to make a paper scale model or a rendered one, just to show the mass. On the other hand, renderings can support the concept the architect is aiming for, even in an early stage. Also, I tend to believe that sometimes arch competitions are won based on imagery, and I must admit some render people can make a bad design 'look good'. So not always a good thing. Thanks for the comments.

    jason, i certainly meant jason. sorry about that! mateo, yes, besides having a lot do in real life, i have been trying to learn how to render. it is the missing part in my one-man-architectural-office plan. biebel, thanks for the encouragement. even though it does not show i have learned a lot from you. regards to all.

    HI Thanks, so purring=ronronner and I don't know, it depends on the cockroaches I've looked at some jpegs and Oggy have little legs but I think the problem is with feet and hands so I'm redoing them and I'll post when it's done. cheers

    finally i gave up this scene ... and here is the result..no post por ( just filtering noise). just 2 far trees are bilbords , and all other scene part are 3d objects , I did a review on the bushs and add some flower using KT instant brush ... preset no 17..and thats all... original scene was rendered less than 6 hours at 2000*2915 pixel. http://tinypic.com/view.php?pic=2qdwxe8&s=3 [image: 2qdwxe8.jpg] here i wanna dedicate it to KT team and specially Frederik for all his kind help/guides . majid

    I like the natural lighting of the second one better. first looks like it's lit with a camera flash. though the second makes me feel like I'm in a dark back hallway - maybe some natural light from a skylight... or a window behind the camera... Nice work!
