@honoluludesktop said: I noticed that a number podium renders posted have their colors balanced "non" white (don't know the proper term). Is there a podium reason for this, or is it personal preference? i believe the term is called 'color bleeding'. its a natural phenomenon where the surface reflects part of its color onto surrounding surfaces. in render engines which support SI (global illumination) its mostly present. some clients raise their brows when they see this phenomenon. and i am a victim of it several times myself with many different render engines. there are ways around this though... but at a risk of losing physical accuracy wrt to materials and light. sorry for the off topic rant. nice scene btw!!! more objects on the table and wall hangings and chandeliers and fire in the fire place can make this a real winner!!!!

Great image. That's a style I'd like to try. Sounds like it is not too time consuming. If you can fix something, I'd say the muntins on the left hand door might be modeled more, as they are close to the camera. I have done tapered muntins in doors and I know the line work becomes too dense--if you are using lines. So I've smoothed the outer lines and it works out pretty well. Is that an undercounter clothes washer / dryer? Is there enough room to add a short wing wall by the refrigerator? Anything that hides the side or the view to the back side is nice, I think. Some builders recess the rear of the unit into the wall, which also sets the front better in relation to the counter, in the deeper models. It looks like the door is too close for a wall. What is the element straight ahead? it looks like a range hood but I see the range is on the right.

I don't have any clients yet, Daniel. These are to add to my portfolio to help me find some clients. If you know of any clients aimlessly wandering about, please point them in my direction

the larger image does look a bit strange, perhaps something to do with resizing it prior to uploading? Apart form that: lower the bump on the floor a bit and turn up the lights above the mirrors. Certainly has potential though.

Nice job using Sketchup...I also have a disagreement with the architectural design. Why would a country with such wealth of local building types decide to use house designs that are from middle-class America? The house designs have nothing to do with the history or local environment of Vietnam.

Looks great, Scott. I noticed the line between the two doors disappeared, as usually happens in rendering programs when it's just a 3D line. If I am going to render the model, I always make an imperceptable gap or groove, or prop one door open. Your lights look great.

Had me thinking of Myst also, and how visually far ahead of its time it was.

Cute but wouldn't the cuteness be pumped to higher heights with a pig nose and a springie tail? An idea for having further fun with the model would be to turn it into a 'Chia-pet'. [flash=425,344:12te3ts9]http://www.youtube.com/v/tzY7qQFij_M&hl=en&fs=1[/flash:12te3ts9]
