I do not have a smart phone, it matches me for stoopid and I use it as a phone only. I am sure there are folk here with a Whyphone who can describe the process. I found this with a brief search. https://support.apple.com/en-gb/guide/iphone/iph864a938de/ios

Thanks, but that is just a screenshot of a 3D model found on the internet. My pathetic little model is here, if you´re interested: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=81&t=27402

Simon, if you don't mind, I split the posts about the Thea panoramas off. You can find the new topic here: http://forums.sketchucation.com/viewtopic.php?f=80&t=34350

Nice looking, moody illustration, but a bit dark to see the architecture (if that was the goal). Where's Edward?

@dave r said: Thank you Mike. I agree with you. I'm always impressed with the photo-realistic renders I see here but I really have little interest in making them myself. I much prefer images like this. ...... I am afraid we are 'old school' Dave, going back to the days of 'workarounds' for glass transparency

Thanks Lads, I used V-ray, as pointed out the glass turned out not so good. John

@bryan k said: @olishea said: Bryan K: you may want to use a depth render to fake underwater effects...you can use it as a mask in photoshop...let the image fade into blue for mirkier water. why not try adding a water texture above and use sun for lighting so it casts caustics onto the rover.....just a thought. Thanks Olishea. Some good ideas. However, I'm using the basic free version of Shaderlight. Not a lot of controls. Not sure how to do the Photoshop effect. I get what you mean, but I don't know how to do it. Tried the texture above. It didn't look good. I did darken the light though. [attachment=0:3rdhj1zz]<!-- ia0 -->subseaROVrenderlights2.jpg<!-- ia0 -->[/attachment:3rdhj1zz] Everybody is jumping on the submarine bandwagon this month. http://liam887.wordpress.com/2011/01/05/submarine-model/ I also tried to get the reflection water texture on the sub but I could not get t to work correctly and that was disappointing. Its always annoying when you know exactly what you want to do but just cant get it to work! If you figure it out or get a good effect post it here will be nice to try it myself.

Hmm. The Chinese have a saying "May you live in interesting times". In that particular use the word interesting is near to being a curse. Here are a couple of more renders of a planetary transmission. This is for possible use in an electric trike project that I have built and am experimenting with. The trike is intended to be a hybrid utilizing electric and petrol power as a true hybrid where the petrol engine operates as an assist to the electric system. Note that I am not in business not do I have any plans to start one. Any developments such as this are free for anyone to use if they think it worthwhile. [image: planetary1.jpg] [image: planetary2.jpg] This is the concept drawing of the trike: [image: etrike3.jpg] This is the actual development vehicle: [image: etrikem22.jpg]
