Hello Scott, before you jump into external UV mapping with two feet, learn to use SU's tools and the multitude of plugins available here! Take a look at Thom's fantastic plugins first. Download a few Containers from the wharehouse and see how people apply their textures John

Thanks ken and gubermensch! Just goofing around. Yeah, those crazy space cadets, huh? I was hoping for the glow to be more natural in Kerky, but that's all I got. I could bump up the internal lighting setting that I used, but, heh, it was just for fun to inspire me to tackle my next bigger project, the Rollieflex. I was a actually more concerned about the lighting interaction with the HDRI, so I was learning something new.

Thanks all! Ken, I'm a big fan of your work, it put any doubts of using sketchup professionally to rest. I love the transformation you made. Thank you for putting in the time to show me what's possible. I'm new to photoshop and find the tutorials online to be verbose and overwhelming, although I felt the same about Sketchup at one point. Looks like I need to put in a few thousand hours of tinkering. Thanks again!

Nice work marked001. I truly understand when you do a model for a client you don't always have an opportunity to make things perfect. The deadline is the deadline and the idea is to convey the point usually and not the just the image itself. May I ask what render-er you use? Or are you using just Photomatch?

Is it the details in the image or the story behind them that makes it interesting.... [image: ni3C_StillLightResize.jpg]

I don't think I ever posted the updates we did for the hotel that is the anchor of this project, but that portion is done so figured I'd post the photos, along with a render of the front. Great work as always. I'm envious of the kid as well. Too much concrete where I live.
