@unknownuser said: Check this out. It goes with this post. http://www.etereaestudios.com/docs_html/fallingwater_htm/fallingwater_index.htm No, the link is (should be) OK - just see the red label at the bottom of the page here: http://www.etereaestudios.com/docs_html/fallingwater_htm/fallingwater_movie_index.htm Unfortunately I missed it also when it was mentioned in the Corner Bar. Maybe it us who were using up the bandwith when it was posted here...

Man I hope they have a good drainage plan for that building. Especially in Georgia. Nice work.

very nice, why dont you offer your spaceship to the Infinity game? They are needing some more cool ships like this one. http://www.fl-tw.com/Infinity/index.php [AcesHigh]

James...you crack me up (should I be charging for the peepshow :`) I can't post the file 'cause it was a freebee on some entourage image site, and I really can't remember which one...really...honest. But some searching should hook you up. Best, Tom. (I will admit, since I teased you, I use her as a scale reference building growies I think for your same reasons for liking her. I made her 5'-6" for my eye height and can then put the horizon on the top of her head for reference...that's my story and I'm stickin' with it!)

Model from sketchup, about 1 hour, with 3/4 of the time spent on reference searching for the aliens! Got sidetracked a lot because you come across all types of old school gaming things, brought back alot of good memories Imported in Vue as separate objects and created 4 layers of eco-systems with aliens. Most of the time spent on trying out different camera angles and lighting. Final render took a few hours (Vue is a bit slooooow) After that the framing and title (font was 'Friday the 13th' I think, found somewhere on the web) I could post the separate aliens in the component section if someone wants to use them?

lapx, here's a few of the pieces and parts I used to compile the new image (copied from the original or a subsequent generations). The two main buildings were massed from the original, one with the center section cut out, the other with a center added in the other direction. The details were either built from stuff similar to the "bridge" pieces shown, or painted with the clone brush...lots of touchup after all was in place. The fence I did with photomatch in SU because vector drawing in PSP would have taken me a lot longer...only had to fudge the wierd perspective once in SU. The fence was brought into PSP in three layers (cut behind the rest where appropriate): the shadows burned, the fence multiplied, and the posts normal but transparent...then again lots of touchup. That help? Best, Tom. [image: ~KBIrenderTut.jpg] [image: KBIfenceSUweb.jpg]

Hi Tina. Not much to say really... Straight 3DS export from SU. Background, lighting and camera animation all done in MAX. Single camera constrained to a spline path, and a lighting set up of 16 omni lights, all with mapped shadows. All the images on the walls were also applied in MAX - just because I find it quicker, easier and more easily adjustable than in SU. The other materials were straight from the SU Model. Rendered at 640 X 480 pixels, 2000 frames at 30fps, it took about 4hrs to render on a dual-core Pentium PC. (But I did turn-off ray-traced reflections on the floor and glass to speed the render times.) Thanks for the kind words. A.

Cool, Phil...the wood grain and countertop texture is dead-on! Hope we get some more model/real postings here...thanks for sharing, Tom. Side note: the other surprise on mine was the coolness of the built brick used...I spent hours (beyond the billing!) trying to get the brick texture just the right shade of "warmer!" orange for my client :~b
