AcesHigh thanks !!!!
Another mystery solve
Wow look amazing !
thanks stinki for the encouragement; i ll buy V-ray right first thing tomorrow. i just hope my wife does not leave me since i am spending at least 8 hours daily on V-ray now.
although Makers of V-ray suck at support for customers like video tutorials etc. all they have is that old 3 chair manual.
Thanks,
i thought the same, but its so damn difficult to learn even after the manual
Dear All,
I am new to rendering and have tried KT, V-ray, Vue and others with my sketchup models. i want to finalize one of the rending engines, purchase it and start learning it as soon as possible.
which is the best for new starters ! also i dont want to shift from one to other, i want to start and master it till the End.
all three of them seem equally difficult and powerful to me. so help me decide.
so which one is the best to start with ?
i am newbie
and these images are literally jaw dropping for me !
any chance i can get the V-ray settings or may be the .skp file as well? it will be a great help for learning.
Thanks
well ! we can share whatever we have vray or any other !
Thanks Jeff,
But i still don't see a ground or a sky in my Vray image, it is still the same.
i think the best way we can learn from so many masters here is that they upload their sketchup models with the Vray setting that they used (the ones they dont mind sharing ) we newbies can learn very fast from studying those settings and methods used.
in a tutorial i found on line :
http://my.opera.com/explainking/blog/lighting-in-v-ray-for-sketchup
the image that i gets after the setting he tells is below and is without a land and a sky !
whereas the tutor gets a perfect land and sky in his image.
What am i doing wrong. ?
Dear All,
I am an old fashioned architect, but recently was introduced by youngsters to Sketchup and Vray, and i was amazed to see its capabilities, i started working day and night on it and have become an intermediate level user, here is a sample of sketchup model rendered that i am being able to produce, but this is nothing compared to what other experts in this forum are producing, this is my learning after two months, but i dont seem to go any further than this, i want to become an expert in Vray and Sketchup but sadly cannot find any book or training videos that help.
please guide me how can i pursue this new passion of mine, how did you guys become so amazing at all this ? did you have some special training ?
why am i not getting the horizon of ground and sky like the second picture in the start post. do i have to model the ground also ? is a ground modeled in this pic (the one from tutorial)?
No its not!! its turned on just as it says in the tutorial.
Hello all, i am new to Sketcup and Vray, i just started the softwares a week back. i have downloaded the Vray manual (the one with three chairs) and have also downloaded the files (the chairs .skp files) now i am working my way through the tutorials on asgvis site. this specific tutorial :
http://asgvis.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=38&Itemid=55
after following all the steps i get this result
where as according to the tutorial i should get this image:
what am i doing wrong ? why dont i see the sky and the ground ? why is all white in my background. even though i am copying the exact settings in the tutorial.
please help
